Sony Ericsson expands its entry-level line

Sony Ericsson has expanded its line of entry-level mobile phones by adding J220, J230 and Z300. All three new handsets are dual-band GSM phones available in 900/1800 MHz for Europe/Asia as well as 850/1900 for the Americas. Z300 will be the first to appear commercially in Q4 2005, while J220 and J230 are expected in Q1 2006.

 

J220 - the successor of the T290 entry-level phone, featuring:

  • 65k color display
  • MMS, SMS, EMS support
  • WAP 1.2.1 Internet browser

J230 - the successor of the J210, which is a bar-designed handset and features:

  • 65k color display
  • stereo FM radio
  • speakerphone
  • MMS, SMS, EMS support
