By adding a white pixel, Sony has created a 3" WhiteMagic display that has a 1000 nits brightness mode, or twice the iPhone 4, for instance. A Sony Ericsson Xperia arc was used to blossom flowers in a greenhouse as screen brightness demo as well...

Isn't this just another form of Pentile matrices? From what I remember about this before is that the color gets fairly washed out but can be very good in high contrast color settings.

arc is a great looking phone. the price is going down now a little bit after just a few months after release just like lg optimus 2x coz i think sales is not doing well. i believe it is the price which is the major factor for its poor sales. and also the lack of secondary camera for video calling.

sony has to bump up the pixels from vga to qHD in order to make it commercially feasible.
