Sony Ericsson Xperia arc announced for the US, $599.99 MSRP gets it unlocked and ready to go

Sony Ericsson is officially bringing the Xperia arc to US shores, and it will be sold for $599.99 by Sony's retail stores, as well at shop.sony.com in August. Retailers like Newegg, BestBuy and Amazon are also onboard, and each introduces its own pricing...

I agree with puma66. 4.2" displays seem small these days. I'll wait for the sony ericsson experia duo coming in september with a 4.5" screen and sick specs. I'm a big guy the more screen the better. Oh and by the way Christianqwerty you're a moron.

If the arc and play would have been made dual core they would've been sold out everywhere. Now with the Galaxy S2 coming around the corner on every US carrier, SE of all people definitely doesn't stand a chance. Didn't they say the wanted to be the number one android manufacturer?

I think Samsung and the carriers have missed a great opportunity with delaying the Galaxy S2. There have been so many iPhone users off contract since June who would've been easy to snipe with a strong marketing campaign.

It's gong to be too much, too late for Samsung. They'll still make tons of money, but they could have twisted that dagger in Apple's side just a little.

I wish, but it is gsm. Actually the phone that interests me more is the Sony Xperia Ray, but that also appears to be gsm only. So far.
