the xperia arc is a very under valued phone, I have used it and frankly it was better than many dual core phone out there. Still specs are specs, with a dual core processor, this phone would have been just amazing.

I agree, the xperia arc is easily the best single core phone on the market. And I would even take it over the Atrix.

Best single core android yes, but not better than the Wave s8500 ; )
don't know why, but it seems SE Xperia Arc is quite fast, in fact when i have tried it in the shops, the xperia arc has been faster than the Galaxy S2, wonder why ? : |

aren't you going a bit overboard with the bada thing. i've seen the browser on the wave 2. its crap.and no matter how beautiful you think it is, it cannot match the curves of the arc. the beauty of its style or the sexy camera on its back. i was super disappointed with the wave 3. expected something with a little more oomph rather than a galaxy s plus with bada. and btw....WP7 is way smoother than bada. even though its younger than it.

The only thing that is a bit annoying with the browser on the wave 2 is that the URL bar appears whenever you touch the screen, Apart from that the browser is really good. That problem has been fixed though with bada 2.0 and it has a better web browser.
The Arc does look nice with it's curves back, however the Wave 3 is one realy nice phone. In my opnion the Wave 3 design is nicer than the Arc.
When it comes to performance from the Wave 3. As of yet we don't know the RAM or the graphics processor. And we don't even know if it is a dual core or single core processor either, all we know is that it is a 1.4 ghz processor in the wave 3 (i know phonearena writes the wave has a single core processor, however Samsung has not said that in their press release. All they have said is that it is a 1.4 ghz processor, so it might be that the Wave 3 has a dual core processor after all).
And when it comes to smoothnes, i agree that WP7 is very smooth in its menu. However bada is just as smooth and fast as WP7. Especially alot of apps for WP7 are very laggy and not smooth, whereas apps for bada are fast and smooth. It is only WP7 itself that is fast, and that is not really anything amazing. Considering the simple UI of WP7 that does not require much processor power, and the lack of functions on WP7 makes it use even less processing power, it is no wonder that WP7 is fast.
When you consider all the functions bada has, and the really nice UI, bada is extremely fast.

Design wise? the Wave 3 is better? I don't think so in my opinion. Not arguing here, we all have our own preference and our difference makes us unique. . . I still think Samsung should have continued the signature look of the Wave I & II on the Wave III which has a Diamond accent to it which I find very attractive. . .

Everyone has a different taste.
I personally think the Wave 3 looks much nicer than the Wave though.

lol, you think the wave 3 looks better than the arc? are you high or something? and your wave 3 is a single core because sammy doesnt want it to hurt the sales of the sgs2.
and you saying that its smooth? what world do you live in? WP7 might take time to load an app, but its transitions are really really well done. from the videos that i've seen, bada is just android with an other name. no matter what you call it, it brings nothing new to the table. it should have stuck with the wave I and II's design. this one looks totally out of place. and a 5mpx camera is laughable, no matter how good it is. this is the 8mpx generation and if Bada is going to attack the high end segment, i suggest they get better hardware.

the arc is nice, but i think the wave 3 looks a little nicer than the Arc. The Arc is waay to plasticy.
And you say bada brings nothing new to the table, have you seen a video of bada 2.0 recently ???????
I have watched loads of videos of bada 2.0, and i can tell you there are lots and lots of innovative features in bada 2.0. bada 2.0 use multitouch in a very innovative way in the UI for example.
If you want to create a folder, you simply go to edit mode and press two apps at the same time and you get a new folder.
And when it comes to processor.
I know PhoneArena has been saying that the Wave 3 has a single core proccessor.
THERE IS NO WAY PHONEARENA KNOWS THAT OFFICIALY, THAT IS JUST A ASSUMPTION !!!
In Samsung official press release, it says nothing if the processor is dual core or single core, all it says it that the processor is 1.4 ghz.
It might just be that the proccessor is dual core.

The curve/Arc on the Xperia Arc when standing on its side looks similar to a Victoria's Secret model standing on it's side. . . :-D
