Sony Ericsson W995a heading for July 6th launch in U.S.
Sony Ericsson has announced that the W995a handset will be available in SonyStyle stores in the U.S. on July 6th, although the web site is now accepting pre-orders. The device has a 8.1 MP camera with AF, face detection and smile shutter. Besides the impressive specs on the camera, the handset supports 3.5G connectivity with a radio covering the 850/1900/21000 MHz bands. Wi-Fi is also part of the impressive feature set as is FM radio, a 2.6 inch QVGA display, 3.5 mm audio jack, and a Memory Stick Micro slot. Sony says the device is just the thing for "unlocked purists and phone junkies". The web site shows a price of $599.99 and the phone follows the Henry Ford rule of color choice meaning you can buy the phone in any color you want as long as it is black.
