Sony Ericsson U5i passes through the FCC
With plenty of high end Sony Ericsson devices on the horizon right now, like the XPERIA X2 or X10, it’s not difficult to fathom that there’s a bunch of platforms they’re supporting. That’s why it’s even more tempting to some that the recent Sony Ericsson U5i has passed through the FCC with little information. There are a few concrete worthy items to note – it’s a low-to-mid range handset sporting a 640 x 360 resolution touchscreen, 2-megapixel camera, and running the Symbian operating system. It’s not too often we see a Symbian powered device released here stateside, but it’s a refreshing sight to witness. Still, there’s no name attached to this handset like the 8-megapixel camera packing Sony U5 Kurara. We’re hopeful in the next coming weeks leading up to MWC that more solid information will surface about this handset.
