0. phoneArena posted on 22 Dec 2011, 00:16

A leaked document from the Bluetooth SIG shows that Sony Ericsson could be sending some high-end Android love in the direction of AT&T; the information on the document points to a 4.55 inch 720p display with a 13MP camera in back and a 720p shooter in front...

not sure how to feel about Sony as a phone... i don't know anyone with ithe experia play or the x10... then again i don't know much about sony as a company so...

9. samda posted on 22 Dec 2011, 04:42 5

x10 is one of the first high end android phones and as such is plagued with teething problems.
but all of the 2011 xperia lineup is just great.
xparia arc s is arguably the best single core phone on the market

17. DIYguy posted on 22 Dec 2011, 10:21 2 1

best android perhaps...

19. samda posted on 22 Dec 2011, 11:14 3

well name me the other challengers - wave 3? iphone 4? nokia 800? i think arc s bests them all.

20. wassup posted on 22 Dec 2011, 12:51 1 4

nope, the best single core device goes to the samsung galaxy 1... that phone was...and still is epic.
my vibrant running bionix is my back up phone after my SGS2 international
I have tried the Arc, not arc s... but it was overclocked, so i don't really see a difference, and while the phone was nice, i prefer the SGS.
but that's just me of course

And is it getting an ICS update? No. You sir, just got your point disapproved by a SEX Arc user.

23. sumdude posted on 23 Dec 2011, 06:50 1

LOL, like that actually means something. If ICS was a revolutionary game changer, I'd agree. However, it's not, it's just a new OS build. Rehash this discussion when Jellybean sees the light of day. Arc S takes the OG SGSI by a margin, but SGSII buries the Arc S, now and later, as well.

dual-core killed it for me. Sony please bring quad monsters into the game!

6. speckledapple posted on 22 Dec 2011, 01:15 1

The chance that the phone I will upgrade to and the end of next year could have at least a 12MP shooter (but I care more about the lens than pixels), 2 ghz dual or quad core processor, 720p or 1080p screen, bluetooth 4.0, NFC (in some form), LTE Advanced (maybe), and more. Next year will be fun.

16. Rayzin posted on 22 Dec 2011, 09:42 3

I really don't think you'll notice a difference between 720p and 1080p on a phone screen.... Unless it's 7" or more lol

24. sumdude posted on 23 Dec 2011, 07:04

I think you will see a difference between them 720p is awesome but 1080p should bring depth to screens, giving it a natural 3D effect. 720p is amazing but the clarity doesn't really surpass crystal clear 2D. Example being that, if this wasn't the case, the photos above taken w/ that SE device would look like the IP 4s, clearly, it's an apple(Sony) to an unripened orange.

7. samda posted on 22 Dec 2011, 02:42 4

oh now we're taking. Sony will make a boom with this one?

8. RamyRamz69 posted on 22 Dec 2011, 03:46 1

My Xperia Arc is already jealous.

10. arcq12 posted on 22 Dec 2011, 06:07 3 4

why? why AT&T? the most hated carrier in the US.. lol

25. sumdude posted on 23 Dec 2011, 07:33

Got no hate for them but I'm jealous that they have several gems in their phone lineup. Whereas, #1, had nothing to brag about until recently. I'd love for the people who select AT&Ts roster to swap w/ Big Reds. Then we wouldn't get a top tier phone 3-6 months after everybody else.

I have at&t. They dont have too many high end phonea like verizon or sprint does. Ill be looking forward to this phone when ever it launch.

Here we go again people crying about it being only dual core. It is not about the number of core but how will it is optimized for the software.
