Sony Ericsson Kumquat photo leaks; model has mid to high end specs with a smaller form factor
Share:
Expected to be launched at a contract price of 260EUR (approximately $335USD), the Sony Ericsson Kumquat will have a 3.5 inch screen, the same size as the display on that other popular model (you know which one!). The resolution on the screen is FWVGA (480 x 854),and a dual-core 1GHz processor is under the hood. On the back is a 5MP camera. Nothing has been said about which build of the Android OS will be on the device at launch.
You might notice the transparent strip near the bottom of the device, similar to what we have just seen on the Sony Xperia S. We should see an official introduction of the Sony Ericsson Kumquat next month at MWC in Barcelona. Which reminds us that February is right around the corner and when it comes to coverage of MWC, you are going to want to keep your eyes right here!

Looks like a smaller version of the MB810(Droid X)...not to be rude but this looks exactly like the aforementioned phone. Hey Sony, what's the problem can't add a little flair to your overall designs?

I don'y think it looks totally like the MB810 but it's design is different enough for most people to consider it unique, especially with the translucent touch sensitive buttons.

@Birds, you don't own one. I have on and that phone from a frontal view looks like a smaller Droid X.
@spiderpig2894...seriously? Jealous of a Sony phone? You have got to be kidding. With a name like that, I wouldn't have guessed you to be filled with much insight or anything useful for that matter.
Jealous, lol. Razr says hi, Razr Maxx says ditto...come again when you can actually formulate something other than drivel that has baseless assumptions. The X2 has better specs that this thing and has a screen with the same resolution just much larger. This is a mid tier phone and like I said the design is lacking, just because it has a glowing bar where the X has physical buttons doesn't mean much aside from a very large notification bar...which would be utterly useless and oversized if that is its function.

To small for verizon...they only take a small phone with lousy specs. They would never cary a small phone with top specs...WHY???!!!?!
I know these aren't top specs...but they would be fine for me.

Oh come on! 3.5"? Why does sony love stuffing their phones with tiny screens? (Look at xperia mini, it's a joke)
A 4" screen and 8MP camera and this could be the next flagship.

Dude, if the phone isn't for you, then what is the point of your comment? I can type fine in a 5.3 inch screen as well as a 3.2 inch screen and my thumbs are huge. I mean I type at a murderous rate of speed but my thumbs never complain. Well I take that back. I can type fine on a 3.2 inch screen with a 2:3 or 3:4 aspect ratio. I can't type that well on a screen with a 3:5 aspect ratio or 3:5.33 ratio (16:9)....Wait off subject. lol So the phone isn't for you! Don't troll because the screen is too small for your taste.
