Some Verizon branded Apple iPad 2 units are being sent back to Apple, even some that were in the process of being shipped to the buyer via FedEx; the problem seems to be that some units were produced with duplicate serial numbers, forcing the recall...

I just had this happen to me. I went to activate the Verizon 3G on my new iPad and Verizon told me that someone else had already activated my account based on my MEID. I had to go into a Verizon store to activate. I wonder if the other person is now getting free cellular on my tab.
