There is a growing forum thread where a display issue plaguing some Samsung GALAXY S II for T-Mobile units is being discussed. Poor contrast levels, blobs and lines are among the symptoms...

its not apple......no android phone gets the same treatment, if something is wrong with a android phone, the only people that would know is people who visit these phone sites, but if it was apple it be on the news or trending every where, so I doubt anyone who do not constantly check phone websites could tell the difference unless a friend of theirs points it out, but I could be wrong

you missed the part where they were talking about Vietnam.. THEY had the locally produced units, not the US.

same problem in india also......when u take a dark scene u can clearly see the vertical lines and dots etc......for me samsung dealer repalced the handset twice and the third handset also iam feeling some lines and dots....now iam ignoring that............poor build qlty by samsung..........

And on Sprint they have crappy radios. Every time I walk into a building I loose a signal. Yeah Im past my 14 days and I will hard pressed to buy another Sammy until its fixed. Please Sprint/Sammy Do something about the Radio/Modem!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If tech support doesnt work you could just go direct to samsung and complain to them of the defect. You're still under manufacturer warranty, after all.

the thing is about the radios, the FCC has certain guidelines in place for 3G and 4G radios that can be put in the device, hence why they gotta go do FCC cert before they can be released. As far as that is concerned, nearly all phones have radios of equivilent effectiveness. So maybe its some kind of antennagate scenario like the iPhone 4 has, I doubt its something to do with samsung actually using crappy radios because Qualcomm is pretty much the sole supplier of CDMA radios.

I tried this test on my SGSII Epic Touch and fortunately could not see any blobs or vertical lines. If there were any, the screen was still too dark with the sample image the XDA developer gave, but now that I look at those images I feel somewhat concerned lol (paranoid). I feel sorry for users with the T-mobile SGSII. Man, Samsung better fix this (as well as the antenna issue... even though for me it seems just fine, but it questions their future products) or else goodbye Samsung & hello HTC/Moto.
