0. phoneArena 10 Mar 2013, 14:29 posted on

The other day we told you about a problem that has afflicted some Windows Phone 8 models and seems to eat up some available storage and place it in the "other" category; the Nokia Lumia 620 has started to ship with a new firmware update that allows users to clear "cache" files that were stored in the "other" category...

I really think nokia should jump to the android ship and bring pureview to be successful

i dont think so, samsung dominates android

you just want everything android as your closed minded and cant see past one os

pureview is already successful anyway

I'm not saying nokia should stop making windows phones but make android phones at the same time like other manufacturers.

they arent in a position to do that and tbh they dont need to. android isnt one stop os to success why people think this is stupid.

and half who say they would buy one wouldnt they would just rip it apart and say better buy samsung.

mainly im bored of this nokia go android crap all the time just move on

There's nothing wrong with hedging your bets. And by the response from android users, they'd probably have a hit on their hands. They might give Samsung a run for their money. And they wouldn't be the only OEM who does double duty. Samsung & HTC both make phones for multiple OSs. I don't really see why that would be a bad thing. Why is more choice a bad thing?

How about, NO. I'd prefer to see more variety in the market, if everyone goes android then it would be boring. Seriously boring. If Nokia went Android, other than Apple & Blackberry (of course), everyone else would be using Android as their major platform. Slip in whatever custom rom or skins u like, but in the end it's just Android no matter how you modify it. On windows phone UI looking like ugly tiles - it does, by default, but it depends how you customize and arrange your tiles. Lots of apps in the app store helps in customization. None of my friends and relatives who has seen my WP8 phone's UI says it is ugly, because I modified it heavily.

nah.... nokia has never been about specs... check its monster phones, their capabilities and their specs....

its really shameful that i can do so much on my n900 than i can do on my gs3... comparing their specs its not even a proper competition but features..... try installing a fully operational desktop OS on an android phone (not a skin or loader)... only problem was its HORRIBLE battery life

the 920 is the highest specced nokia phone to date but it actually doesnt NEED those specs...

dont talk about n9 and 808 pureview, specwise they suck but try fitting 41MP on an android.... try operating an android phone (without headaches) that has less than 1gb ram and single core....

you cant

a nokia android phone would be quickly compared to a gs2 and be classed as garbage no matter how optimized it is....

android NEEDS 1gb and dualcore.... heck now you are talking about octacore on phones...... and if they run android they will still LAG

Nokia is a dying phone maker that specializes in a niche operating system.
Android does not need them.
All of Nokia's offerings would be considered mid-range to Android users.
Android does not need more mid-range garbage
