Oh. Well. Shit. Um. I guess I'll just double check every X I get in stock. Of course, gotta make the obligatory joke: "There is no problem with the screen. Look at your Droid correctly."

Haha. If this happened to the iphone first reaction is you are holding it the wrong way. Then hold press conference and give out screen protectors.

You Serious! This happend to some droid and this sorry a$$ website is making it out to be every droid. Wow, apple must have a colt member for a writer here. Please don't compare to iphone's reception issues that every single phone has. Idiots!!!

My favorite is steve job saying what reception problem. Hurry yank all articles that mention the reception problem and tell the authorities that they found a iphone and hacking into to it so we can take all of their equipment from them and it'll keep them from posting untill we replace the millions that want a free case. Ha ha ha lmao. Apple colt members make me laugh. ;)

Not to pick sides or anything, but I think if Apple instead had this screen issue and Droid X had reception issues, I think the same reaction that Apple had with reception would have been equal to it having a screen problem. So, honestly, when you bring up issues, either way, if its about Apple, people like you are bound to jump on them with negativity like a fat kid on cake. I think its already been discussed over and over again on this site that people like you are getting kinda boring and old now. So you can stop at any time...

Yea, every Droid lover/iPhone hater just became a huge hypocrite. You guys jump on Apple for their problems, now you're supporting your Droid with ITS problems. Idiots.

Google didn't make this phone, Apple makes the iPhone so they have control of the process and the fact that they denied it had a problem is what bothers customers, they also didn't offer a long term solution. Android is an Operating System! Apple's problem is wide spread, this is a defective batch. Not to mention there are six "droid" models and only one iphone made by Apple. The "droids" have four manufacturers. facts please. thank you.

I will agree this issue sucks and I am equally dissapointed this couldnt be a "problem free" launch, however, Apple fans rub in so much about their phones it leaves little room for us up and coming Android users to have a defense when it comes to competition. So this 1 issue, yeah it sucks, but Android users in General snub their noses HALF as much as iPhone users, that why Apple has such a huge target on their back...Look at me look at me...iphone iphone iphone

Theres a big difference between Moto and Apple . Moto is admitting there device has some issues, Apple is dening them good old Steve is trying to close his eyes and ears hoping it will all go away. These "screen issues" if people try to jailbreak there droid x that is what they get, a big brick.

+1 its bascially feeding the egos of the i phone fanboys out there and justifying thier crappy i phone with any other phone on the market...this is NORMAL. When was the last time a big company like motorola sent out a device without issues from the manufacturer? seroiusly. even cars have recalls .. eh eeem toyota? you people need to relax! if your so eager to get one and get it working, make sure your not one of the crazy idiots thats not waiting in line at 4am for the phone, that simply means your taking a risk by buying the first batch. If you wait they usually know what the kinks are, and you will get one that works! all im saying is that the phones great and this isnt something that should come as a surpris to anyone especially apple fans lol relax.. the probobility of you getting a malfunction is a lot lower then you would think..

Actually the "Droids" have two, and only two different manufacturers. HTC makes the Droid Incredible and the Droid Eris; Motorola makes the Droid and Droid X. So what were you saying about facts?

Its really funny how you guys bash on the Apple fanboys. You are just as bad. DROID X bahhhhhhhhh Verizon bahhhhhhhh So now it is shipping with a broken screen and you already need a an ota "fix" some other fundamental issues. But I guess its ok that your screen does not work or even your wifi does not work or your camera is laggy among other things. Oh wait its ok becuase they announced it to to world. Congrats your phone is still buggy one way or another. You guys are idiots. +1 to you HOVA

Hmmm too bad the EVO had issues with the phone becoming unglued and coming apart. So no.
8. herbiederb posted on 20 Jul 2010, 02:26 0 0
Anyone would rather have the supposed unglued screen, so yes.

Really Herb? Anyone? I sure as he'll wouldn't. They are both bad problems and yes the EVO had it's fair share as well. So before you go on your misguided rant about how awesome the EVO is (even though the Droid X smoked it in benchmark tests) you need to check yourself. Don't make generalized statements and make up other people's minds for them. I guarantee they don't like it. PS. If you come back defending the EVO please don't use the kickstand as an advantage. I'm getting really sick of hearing that crap.
