There’s no denying that some Motorola CHARM owners out there are bummed out by the fact that they’re simply going to be left behind and stuck with Android 2.1 Éclair, however, that doesn’t mean we won’t see any updates at all to this adorable Android smartphone...

this is the only nice 600mhz powered phone, the rest of the low ends phones suck :) like all the optimus'es

Well, it seems that Motorola is in the same league as Sony Ericsson ex with the Xperia X10 which they decide to not update to Froyo. Well some care about their customers other don't...
Make your choice! But if you buy a Sony Ericsson as exemple, don't expect to have any update after a year...

Sometimes, it's better to get a stable phone than a new Android version, especially for Motorola phones since they are so slow to release new firmware...

... did people start expecting they are *entitled* to updates? I understand the frustration if a company says there will be updates and then renigs on that promise, but when did people start simply assuming they *deserve* updates every time a new device comes out with newer software?
You don't go back to the BMW dealership expecting them to shoe-horn the new 2011 motor into your 2009, and certianly not for free!
