Although Sprint doesn’t outright say they’re removing Carrier IQ in the changelog, the “security update” brought along with it is presumed to be none other than the removal of the tracking software. Aside from that, we also find an update to the Peep client to align it with Twitter...

If I'm correct, the update to software version 2.77.651.3 also brings along an update to Android 2.3.4. The last time I checked, my Evo Shift was at 2.3.3. So far I've only noticed a small amount of speed increase.
