For the third time, Motorola uses a full page ad to take a shot at the iPhone while pointing out a positive about one of the DROID models...

Droid does flash but no facetime or qik video chat. Motorola needs to jump in the bandwagon on video calls or they soon may be saying Droid doesn't. Most high end devices are starting to have front facing cameras I do not understand why motorola left this out of the Droid 2 and X.

I agree about the front facing camera. However the droid x can still do video chat through fring and now with the hdmi app can go right onto your plasma or lcd. I still haven't tried qik but I am assuming it would work. Droid X does get a tenth of a point reduction in awesomeness though because of the lack of front facing camera.

don't say driod does flash! My x does not have flash since verizon and motorola have not released 2.2 yet! 1.5 months done 8.5 till the x is done and I will never give moto another try

Actually .. Droid does do Flash. Got the update on my original Droid and it plays flash beautifully. Verizon has been releasing 2.2 to their phones. It just may take time for you to get it on your X like everyone else :)

That's funny...the iPad is a waste and yet everyone is coming out with their own tablet...yeah...but waste.

It's interesting to see how this shows up what kind of company motorola is and what kind of company apple is as for their smartphones. Motorola for one side seems to need apple to make a mistake so that they can highlight it and use it as a sell point. Apple on the other side focuses on their own products, showing what they can do and what they're good for, without taking any weakness of another product as a sell point. Hey motorola, if your phones are SO amazing why don't you advertise them without striking other companies? That only shows doubt and weakness to me, just being able to tell this phone does one or two things that the other can't (and it was very fun to me when they made that "no need a bulky jacket" ad when the droid X is ALREADY bulky - more than an iphone with a bumper - and then within a couple of days a lot of videos starting appearing showing how it had the death grip thingy too)

Dont get me wrong though... It was a comment steictly directed to motorola since I never mentioned android. So... Before I get waves of insults I feel like I need to clear that android seems like a great OS, and I would get an android phone without any problems... Just it wouldn't be a Droid one. Samsung seems good and HTC too, good deal for those who own those phones

- apple has attacked other companies before, just look at all the videos they made that you referenced about the death grips. so in a sideways sense, they attacked other companies to "justify" their mistake rather than admit fault, and to still seem to say "you see? we are still the best." - and have you ever seen a normal iphone user? here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FL7yD-0pqZg please watch that video and appreciate how well and almost perfectly it captivates most iphone users. also, its hilarious haha =) but back to the point: with a company like apple that claims superiority so constantly, and with sheep to follow and buy whatever apple puts out, it becomes almost necessary to at least make a comoparison to an apple product, just so that people will understand what youre talking about. from there, the device is highlighted by showing that it is better than the product that still 'reigns supreme' in all areas of cell phone discussion. so yes, they do attack apple, but its necessary. when people are too stupid to actually appreciate what goes into a phone, a reference to a familiar product would help, no?

Apple focuses on their products? If I recall correctly, Apple explained the 'death grip' problem showing other devices who had similar products, including nokia, samsung and motorola. The logic 'Other devices have the same problem so it's fine' hardly is a solution to the latent iphone problem. That and Steve Jobs have said statements like 'if you want to watch porn, buy an android device' or more recently accusing android of increasing their sales numbers by counting updates. To be fair, I get your point, I don't have an android but a droid x is a wonderful device on it's own and doesn't need to bash the iphone problems to be able to compete wirh it.

I just ask myself if explaining you what the difference between using something as a sell point and fundamenting a theory is would be a waste of time or not... I guess it would be so I wont

Lol @ the Motorola haters. They think that the only ads Motorola puts out are the ones aimed at the Iphone, just because those are the only ones Phonearena bothers to report on. They also think that the Droid X is "bulky," when in reality it's not *that* much bigger relative to the HOLYSHITITSHUGE! screen size. And while the X is bigger, it's still not TOO big-slips comfortably into the pocket, and apart from the camera housing is as thin as the Iphone 4. Furthermore, to those who are like "but my phone doesn't do flash NOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!"... PATIENCE! You will get your flash content! And to those who are like "Iphone focuses on its products and how amazing and orgasmic they are and blah blah blah"-Look. The article pointed out an issue where Jobs and Apple purposely fucked with the rendering on their Iphone so people wouldn't realize it couldn't run Flash. And then there was the HUGE FUCKING DEAL made about the death grip. And what did Apple do? They oscillated between "It's all in your HEAAADDDDD" and "OTHER PHONES DO IT TOOOOOOO!!!!" and then "OTHER PHONES STILL DO IT BUT OURS DOESN'T BUT HERE'S A FREE CASE TO FIX THE PROBLEM WE SAY DOESN'T EXIIIIIIIISSSSSSTTTTTTT!" So which is it, Apple? Does the problem not exist, or is it a common and easily avoided problem, or is it a problem that you're trying to come up with a quick solution for? ...And Apple's corner emitted a quiet chirping sound from a cricket in response to these questions.

Are you serious. Isnt Apple the ones that had a conference to show other phones had problem with signals, so that they can prove that it is ok that the Iphone has the problem becasue other phones do too? Which was some bull because if you see the video you see the demonstrators fingers turning red because of hard they we gripping the phone to try to get it to lower bars.
