Even with increased police presence in the streets of major cities, smartphone thefts rose in 2013. In New York City, 8465 Apple devices were stolen last year, a gain of 8% over the prior year. It was the second consecutive year that this stat increased. In San Francisco, the number of cellphones stolen was nearly 2400, a rise of 23% from 2012. More than half of the phones taken were Apple iPhones...

This is why i dont like finger print or retina sanners. I'd rather just lose a phone than for a body part to be taken along with it.

I fear from thefts and don't like them coz we invest our hard earned money on such lovely devices (which are costlier today) and these thieves easily steals and flies away. :(
Keeping and using costlier phones is not an easy task and risky too now-a-days.

let him have it ... just report to the police and give them ur phone's IMEI number, should be able to locate the device as soon as he turns it on. Bam!! phone recovered!
