Smaller Size Memory card introduced for mobile phones

A new reduced size MultiMediaCard was approved by the MultiMediaCard Association. The standard (RS-MMC) will have density ranges of up to 64 Mbytes available immediately, while expanding to 128 and 256 Mbytes later in 2003. The new card will be approximately one-half the size of the standard MultiMediaCard.
A reduced size card can be used in a full size gadget with a mechanical expander that will be offered.
