Skype's new Windows 8 interface leaks out

0. phoneArena posted on 17 Aug 2012, 09:13

Optimized for touch on tablets, and with entirely minimalistic Metro (oops, sorry, Modern) UI, the new Skype interface blends pretty well with the rest of the Windows 8 default apps, showing that Microsoft will have finished the integration of Skype into its products by the time Win 8 hits the shelves...

I believe satydesh is merely commenting on why PA is having coverage on a preview of what an application will look like on Windows 8 PCs and tablets instead of the application for Windows Phone 8.

To answer satydesh's question, PA has covered tablets for a while now (ever since the iPad). I suppose the reason they started doing this was because the tablets they have their coverage on are really just a phone with a really large screen. The processors, GPUs, wireless technology, etc. that you find on these tablets can be the same as on your smartphone. PA does not do coverage on tablets such as the Samsung Series 7 tablet or anything that uses an OS that would not be found on a mobile platform.

You do realize that rendor was just conjured up by a regular joe. It's not a real phone. But yes, it would be a nice design if it were real.
