Shazam update takes advantage of iPhone OS 3.0
The popular music tagging app for the iPhone, Shazam, is getting an upgrade thanks to the new iPhone OS 3.0. In addition of being able to identify a song by just placing the phone close to an audio source, it will be integrated with Twitter so friends can keep track of your likings. And if you really want them to know where you tagged a specific song,  friends will have access to viewing it on a map. So if you really want to take advantage of the new features, head on over to the App Store and download it for free.

i do not get why this is important to some people... who cares if I tag a song in a certain spot... "OOOOOOooooooooohhh... I am at this like, totally-like club-like place with a fruity drink and they-like just-like played my most totally-like favorite song! I am going to like tag it or something. Yeah... that's like HOT or like something..." WHO CARES!

agreed. I like the Twitter integration, but I don't really imagine myself using the location feature at all.

You do make sense. I've had shazam for a while and almost all the tags I've gotten when in my home while watching television/movies.
