Selected T-Mobile stores to have Google Nexus 4 in stock before Christmas

0. phoneArena posted on 15 Dec 2012, 14:00

The red-hot Google Nexus 4 has been out of stock at T-Mobile for some time and those who have wanted the phone before Christmas have probably figured that they were out of luck since Google also has had the phone in stock only sporadically; now there is speculation that select T-Mobile stores will soon have the model back in time for the holiday...

Half of the t-mobile stores still do not have live demo's units running. I need to see the phone itself in live action before I purchase it.

It is not that great. I already traded mine. LG simply ruined the pure android experience.

Really? I love mine...

do you recommend the galaxy nexus over this?

if droid had the N4, he would not have traded it. I have one of the first shipment sets. Its a fantastic device in nearly every respect.

How exactly did LG ruin the pure android experience.. its pure.. aka LG has ZERO INPUT on it.

It must have been that "best 720p IPS-LCD screen", or sooo underpowered Kraid quad pro with adreno 320gpu.. or that "so loud my wife complains about the volume in the next room" speaker... no.. its probably the nice minimalist design and good build quality that ruined it.
How dare LG make fantastic phone.. how dare they!

and no, absolutely not. the N4 is well above the GN. I went back n played with my wifes SGS3, and I prefer my N4 over that.

Completely agree, I am loving my Nexus 4 and feel lucky that I decided to spam the "checkout" button even when it said to try again later.

This thing is Buttery!.. Pun intended. Smoothest android experience I have ever felt and I just can't stop staring at the beautiful design. I wouldn't trade this phone for any other.

This guy absolutely gushes over the Nexus 4. Says it's the first Android phone that would actually keep him coming back to it from iOS.

I have an N4. I absolutely love it.

The only thing average about it in my experience is battery life. Everything else is superb. Speed, software, screen. I was even impressed by the build quality after the things I've heard about LG.

I have no qualms about the lack of LTE, as T-Mobile's HSPA+ network is putting up excellent speeds in my area (no less than 10Mbps down). Mind you, this is a HSPA+ 21Mbps market. In many other markets, 42Mbps is installed. 5GB of high-speed data each month also helps out with the storage capacity, as I have enough to stream my music.

I don't necessarily thing the Nexus 4 is for everyone (a lot of it depends on whether or not T-Mobile/AT&T HSPA+ is good where you live and travel, as well as battery needs), but it's an excellent phone for many.

No, I have a GN and an N4, and the N4 is definitely a better phone.

If you have a GN and are looking to move to an N4 however, I can say it's not a major upgrade so unless you absolutely need to upgrade immediately (for instance, my GN broke), wait till the N4 is back in stock at a nice low price.

i would recommend it over any android phone if you don't care much about limited storage and lack of LTE.

Google needs to release a 32 GB version already. 16 GB is pity. I have a 32 GB Galaxy Nexus and I actually use all of it for music and pictures. Bring on a 32! Using lots of battery to stream stuff from the cloud is whack and can be slow even on LTE.
