Software update for the Samsung Fascinate starts to roll-out
Users of the Samsung Fascinate have already recieved one software update from Verizon in September, and today a 2nd update has started to roll-out. Unfortunately, this isn't an update to Android 2.2 Froyo, as it is still Android 2.1, though the actual update version is i500.DL09. So what's included, you might ask? First off, it updates the pre-installed versions of VCast Video, City ID, VZ Navigator, and Amazon Kindle. But real improvements to the phone include the ability to change the reminder time and alert tone for calendar events, improved the update consistency of the feeds and widgets, music now pauses if you unplug your wired headset or turn off your Bluetooth headset, better GPS performance, increased security by hiding your 3G Mobile Hotspot password while typing, able to open any PDF attachments sent via email, can now use special characters in corporate email passwords, the bottom button's backlight timer is now set to follow the display's backlight time, better refreshing of desktop Widgets, and if the phone is in a locked state it will remain locked even when placed in the desktop dock or car dock.

Let us know what you think of the Samsung Fascinate update in the comment section below.
