I actually work for Verizon and none of us have received the update either, I have the X but three people here have Droids and my brother has my old one... I've seen two customers today who have already received the update so it's definitely out just not available to everyone yet. It really doesn't seem a whole lot different to be honest...

the update will be running from 8/11 to 8/21 - so just be patient.

I did the manual update for my wifes phone, and still after using the incredible, it didn't seem nearly as fast. I know it doesn't have 1ghz but it seemed fast when I first got it.

9. enemyisyou posted on 14 Aug 2010, 12:22

Hey, how about a FIRST Froyo upgrade for the Incredible?

You don't want it until the bugs are all fixed.

If you did the ligit update from Verizon go to a store and let them know, they will order you a replacment device, I'd lie to them and tell them it was a ligit update, I am having issues with my droid after I got the ligit update from VZW.

hey verizon hater, if you got the correct update that bricked the phone it doesn't void the original warranty, only physical damage, water damage, and rooted software voids it, if its rooted s/w you can just take to store to have correct s/w installed.

Verizons Droid Fourms are littered with complaints that the first 2.2 build is killing phones. I hope VZW plans on fixing what should have not been let out to the public.
