0. phoneArena 17 Oct 2013, 00:27 posted on

Screenshots alleged to be from Android 4.4 KitKat reveal some changes to the Google Play Store; the three-line hamburger style slide-out navigation will be added and the options will include Store home, Apps/My movies & TV, Shop. My Wishlist and Redeem. In addition, more cards will be coming to the Google Play Store, similar to the changes seen with the latest update to Gmail...

Looks cool but not too many changes. 4.4 isn't really the change i was expecting they should have just made another version of jelly bean cuz that's what 4.4 looks like some changes on top of jelly bean

May be that's why it's called 4.4, not 5.0

this, is technically a change in the play store apk, not really a system thing for android 4.4. This apk will leak out early and you can install it on whatever device you wish. Their just following the Music and G+ design.

This update is looking more and more incrimental the more rumors get released. As long as there are some battery life and performance enhancements I guess I am ok with that.

Is it just me? Somehow I feel wp8 has the best modern looking UI amongst all the OS. Too bad they lack apps. Google should rework on Androids UI. It's becoming boring for me. We have too many features now. All we want is a new modern UI with 120 fps smoothness. Lol

In android you can change UI at will, in wp you'll always have randomly placed, resizable rectangles: I don't understand where's the problem with android uis...not liking it? Change it. I have a live wallpaper tornado and icons' animations seem like they are blown away from it :)

Wrong. The tiles in WP are not randomly placed. You can move them around, remove them, or add different tiles.
I think that the WP UI really is the best loking one out there at the moment. Nothing with stock Android UI though. My current phone is a Nexus 4 and before it I had a Lumia 920, so I have experience with Android and WP.

its good that you like WP looks... the difference is that if you want you can make Android look EXACTLY like you want... even look like WP with a launcher... but with WP you are stuck...

go in the play store and search: Windows Phone 8 Launcher Free...

you are welcome.

There are many custom launcher & themes you can download.
Maybe you should try Next Launcher 3D, it's mind blowing.
You can even have WP8 like launcher & theme.
It's android. you can customize it as you want

One thing I really miss and dont know why Google havent made it available yet with all updates. That u can check in All Apps history and juct check whatever apps want to delete from history. I really hate to delete one by one and it refresh after deleted 1 app from history. Makes it forever to delete all history installed apps!!

Hey xfire, you can delete multiple apps from your all apps history. All you have to do is hold the app for a second and it highlights it. Then go to the next app and hold it for a second and it highlights that one, still keeping the first one highlighted. You can highlight all the ones that are not installed and then hit the delete button. You don't have to do one at a time.

Yes, I know u can do that, but still unpractic and would be better with checkboxes instead. Happen often, that the app holding in opens instead and had to go back and do it all over again. Same as Gmail, that dont have checkboxes to delete all mails.

I wish they would go back to using smaller icons so I can see more apps on the screen and waste less time scrolling. Also have an option for a black theme.
