Samsung's bada merges with Intel's Tizen

Samsung's Senior VP of Contents Planning announced on Friday that Samsung's bada OS would merge with Intel's Tizen OS; according to a report in Forbes, apps written for bada would work on the Tizen platform; one to two phones would be made available for the platform this year...

Get ur facts right.bada doesnt look like android,its the touchwiz luancher samsung places on it that makes it look like that. If another company chooses to use it the ui on that company's handset will look dfrnt.

well they removed the pic really quick. anywho.. i never stated facts, just my opinion. the way bada main screen still is layed out similar(multiple homescreens, widget, notification bar, and app tray.)

Peter left us a long time ago. He apparently felt PA was slanted against Bada.
I guess this is good news. We all knew that Intel and Samsung were working on a follow up on Meego, and I was really curious how that would work with Sammy without spreading itself too thin. Now I know. I do wonder how many open sources can be supported, but this will have a nice base to start from as Bada has a strong following.

Bada means ocean. Merging it with tizen, maybe it should be called TIDAL. OR BASIN for better recall :-)
