Samsung's Galaxy Prevail II lands on Boost Mobile
This time, the refreshed iteration will come preloaded with an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean running on a 4-inch WVGA 480x800 display. Helping run these and the 5-megapixel shooter is a 1.4GHz single-core Snapdragon S2 processor powered by a 1750mAh removable battery. In terms of memory, you get 1GB of RAM and just 4GB of internal memory (this is made better since a 2GB microSD card is included in the box). Nothing fancy on the radio front – don't even think about 4G – you do, however, get Bluetooth 4.0.
With news of the next generation of superphones occupying most of our attention lately, the Prevail II has that run-of-the-mill feel. Nevertheless, it should make for an affordable entry into the world of Android.

It's the same phone as Samsung Galaxy Ring being sold on Virgin Mobile.

Yep. Except for the color change and some Boost Mobile apps.

Or you could buy a BLU Mobile with a 4.5 inch screen, quad core processor running Jelly Bean 4.2 for $150.
Unless you are buying top of the line Samsung, you are buying crap.

Can you use the BLU on Boost? Nope didn't think so.
That's an unlocked GSM phone, only usable on AT&T and T-Mobile.

So since it is an unlocked, GSM phone not tied to a carrier, it is automatically is better than the Samsung which is tied to a (laugh) CDMA network, and a bad one at that.

I remember reading somewhere that the Original Prevail was one of the Best Seller Phones of Samsung in the States... Decent Sucessor, but 4G-less is a bummer. Great Spec/price wise.
