Samsung will likely beat its Q4 sales estimates thanks to the Galaxy line

A Samsung executive said today that the company is on its way to pass the 2011 sales target, but didn't specify by how much, and what the new target is likely to be.

"We are pinning high hopes...on achieving sales higher than our previous plan", was the executive's comment at a press conference for the launch of the Galaxy Note, the Galaxy Nexus and the Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE in Korea.

Samsung is definitely an overachiever these days, and this is due for the large part to its Galaxy line, as the executive noted, while the last quarterly results proved the Galaxy product mix right.
