Oh Samsung if only you would have given 12 MegaPixel camera in S3 with RGB AMOLED screen 2GB RAM or even 1.5 GB RAM and a better design, the target would have been much easier!! :D

Good news!!! The next phone SGS4 will have 16mp camera, RGB AMOLED+ 5.3inch screen, 3gb RAM with 4ghz quadcore exynos 5series.
128gb of internal memory with 4000mah battery. And the biggest update is they replace touchwiz into SENSE 5.0!!!

I agree with you... BUT Maybe they are working on Note 2
or might be they want to push Galaxy Note so they kept the specs of S3 lower than expected... Who knows but there is definitely some sort of business plan behind this!!!

the only goal for samsung is to become top of the smartphone thats all... no ICS update for other phone? SHUT UP AND DONT BUY!!!

Is it me, or were people's expectation for the GS3 a little too high? This wasn't a iPhone 4 to the 4S, or a Droid X to the Droid X2. I think it has a great chance to be a great phone.

it's a reasonable estimation, even conservative.
they should easily sell around 55m per quarter when sgsIII takes off on all markets, and with their booming sales of low end galaxies in developing countries.

Very few companies do high end, premium handsets as well as Samsung. They have really nailed the Galaxy series the last two years, and they have recieved a great rep for that. And it is earned.
However, few companies do lower end models worse. Take a look at some of the worst reviewed devices of the same two years, and it is dominated by the cheaper Samsung models. If they want to continue to be the top seller, that is an area they need to improve. Enough bad on the bottom will begin to erode the good rep they earned from the top, and another company may start to eat away at that lead.

you are definitely right about their low end. its still pretty shabby. there are a few good sets like the exhibit2 thats pretty decent, but thats not the norm.
However, I dont completely agree with the bad eating the good. Quite frankly, Samsung was a junk phone company until the SGS1. Then the repeat awesomeness of the SGS2 and then the Note really put them on the map with everyone as a killer hardware guy.. all the while they were still making those junk phones. Basically they have improved their rep 10 fold on 3 phones without changing the rest of their line up.
Their focus is on the high end now. They keep the low end cheap to sell in emerging markets, but they make all of their money (and fame) off the Galaxy's and Notes. They are good enough that the rest just seem to ignore the cheap part of the line up.

The ONe x is the better of the 2 better build quality on the one x and just looks better i just cant do platic. especially if your paying 300 bucks for the phone,or 600+ for full retail price

It's a tradeoff - plastic back, but I get a microSD slot and removeable battery, plus SAMOLED. I love HTC Sense, and the One X is a nice phone, but if I had to choose, I'd go SGSIII. And, the plastic is sturdy, not cheap weak plastic. And didn't I read somewhere its the same material as the One X back, just a different texture?
All this talk about how ugly the phone is doesn't matter. Function is more important than form. If you just care about the design and looking cool with your phone, buy an iPhone.

Good luck samsung im sure you will achieve your goals. I never regret of buying your products especially when I bought the original galaxy tab, it was my 1st experience of a real android device. With the launchedof galaxy s3, im sure it will boost your sales.
