Samsung Electronics plans to showcase its first HSDPA-compatible mobile phone at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this week. The HSDPA handset, equipped with the Qualcomm's MSM6280 chip, reaches speed of up to 3.6 Mbps. Thus the phone will allow users to download contents much faster than WCDMA or GSM/GPRS network. According to Samsung Electronics to download a 4MB MP3 file will take less than 10 seconds. Besides the fact that the device is HSDPA-compatible, no more details are currently available.
