I don't think so, maybe Sony or HTC will. We'll see.

world doesn't revolve around flagships !
Samsung has a huge line-up of phones ranging from $20-$750 which are highly popular in third-world countries. Not to mention their big spent behind marketing !

Exactly. Not only that, but Samsung has bigger manufacturing facilities that can crank out more phones then the competitors. SS will pummel you with volume while still releasing great flagship devices at the same time.

We need to remember, Samsung is not gonna be the leader forever. Sometimes we will fail or lose right? We aren't gonna win forever right?
-I'm not a Samsung hater by the way.

" maybe Sony or HTC will ", HTC and Sony combined won't reach Samsung ! heck, Sony, HTC, Huawei and ZTE combined won't !

I wouldn't add Nokia to that ! Nokia's sales are insane too !

Just wait untill apple releases lphones with larger displays....
The main reason why I bought my s3 instead of a iPhone 5 was the screen size, but android is far behind ios when it comes to apps and specialy games.
Still though Samsung deserves the lead because they are really doing a very good job, they understand that the majority of people want big screen phones and multicore processors plus their camera lenses are very good aswell.

Every app I need is available to android, and is as good or better than the iOS version. Apple is far behind Android in features, flexibility and power.
15. funnyguy (banned) (Posts: 244; Member since: 10 Jan 2013)
Hey don't be a push over, if android has everything you need then ios has everything you need plus 1000.
You don't like games like the walking dead, back to the future, final fantasy, soul calibur, infinity blade and many others then fine but you can not have facts to back it up.
Lol since when android has more flexibility and power?
Being a nexus 10 owner I have to say that android devices are far from being powerful, for example my ipad plays games with full effects while the nexus 10 did not. One other problem I had was that the browser was lagging like you wouldn't believe, from the entire google ecosystem android has just one browser that almost doesn't lagg and that's dolphin browser, from the entire ecosystem just ONE browser worth using, where is the flexibility on that?
Plus it didn't have tablet optimized apps, so your argument about android having better apps is just a LIE, stop Lying.

Powerful mean that you can use it like a computer. Try save your website page to PDF if you can without paying another software to do it. Yes, there is more games but games that I want need to pay. I try to find software to edit word or excel without paying in the ipad until now , noting worth my time. It is much easier to edit, create and sent it by email using my Galaxy note and this all can be done free using build in software . I did bought the new ipad and try to run browser that support flash but it run slowly and not smooth. I also own Asus Tf 101 which is better then the new ipad (4) if you want to use it for work and watch flash drama .
So, did I regret buying the ipad 4, yes, I did.

That's because you didn't do your homework before your purchase.
Nobody never said tablets can do what a computer does.they are designed for consumption and not work.
Android is not for work either.it does some things better than ios like sharing files but still when I need to do some work I still use my laptop and not my android devices.
Just one question!
You are talking about free apps and that's the biggest problem. Why you expect software to be for free when you have no problem paying for hardware?
I was also using free stuff but I realized that was the reason the app selection on android is very poor.nobody will release anything good because app developers needs to get payed.

Ocean Browser and Boat Browser don't lag at all. Ipad you just use safari.
Dolphin, Boat, Ocean is more flexibility than safari.
My ipad3/4 battery life was crap compared to my Nexus 10.
Kingdom Rush is the best game ever made though and for some reason they won't make it for Android. I have to figure out a way to play it without getting an ipad or iphone. haha

Very funny, dude!

You know what's really funny?
The fact that Google is literally selling the nexus devices at cost, without making any money and still their tablets can not compete with the ipad witch costs double the price.
Maybe google should give them completely for free, only then it will have a chance against apple.
25. willard12 (Posts: 1508; Member since: 04 Jul 2012)
Apple had a headstart over Google on making tablets. Refer to the article above (which is talking about phones) to see what the future holds. Just about everything you said about tablets was once said about phones back when the iPhone dominated. What happened?
29. funnyguy (banned) (Posts: 244; Member since: 10 Jan 2013)
The iPhone is still dominant, and it will be more dominant after they release bigger screen versions.
Don't be confused dude, the iPhone still is the largest selling high end phone, these numbers that Samsung is making are mainly for selling low end cheap devices and not because of the s3.
30. willard12 (Posts: 1508; Member since: 04 Jul 2012)
I guess your iPhone is lagging after all....the s3 itself, is outselling the iPhone (with the exception of 1 qtr). Use the CNN widget on your nexus so you can stay up to date with reality. Better yet, try the CNN widget on your iPad.
31. funnyguy (banned) (Posts: 244; Member since: 10 Jan 2013)
dude read the article, is about all the samsung devices combined ,note ,s3 and the rest.
the s3 is not selling better than the 5.
plus this article is bulls**t.

I believe you said Samsung is doing it with low end models. I guess you think the note is low end. By the way this is from IGN "Samsung and Apple have repeatedly volleyed for the "best-selling" position, with the Galaxy S3 taking the honor last September." The S3 is 1 model from 1 android brand. Either way, you have a very loose definition of the word "dominate." You also said another commenter "didn't do his homework.". Yet, you claim to have an iPad 4 and nexus 10. Did you do your homework on nexus 10? You also said an iPad does a 1000 more things. I guess HDMI, multitasking, USB otg, Bluetooth file transfer, nfc, widgets don't matter.....until your iPad is able to do it in 2018, then they will be awesome. Enjoy your big iPod touch, but somehow I think you may also enjoy watching movies in HD using Google videos and HDMI.

Billion Apps are just a number for most. Doesn't matter much. If it really did matter Android would never have grown to a position where it is now ...

Mini and Ace are LOW-END SMARTPHONES.
32. Leo_MC (Posts: 899; Member since: 02 Dec 2011)
No, they are smartphone wanna-be.
No power, no materials, no good price, no real reason to use them, made for dumb consumer => dumb phone.
14. alila2 (Posts: 132; Member since: 01 Nov 2011)
good for you samsung , now use the extra profit towards premium materials for GS5 .

I dunno. I think they used plastic to avoid the gap issues and rattling volume rocker issues and supply issues the HTC One is experiencing. It was calculated. They could have done aluminum or something else if they wanted to. They made tanks at one point for the Korean military. lol

Samsung deserves it's standing and market place and share. They have the best software development and implementation of features in any handset on the market today. Every other manufacturer can only wish they were as good as Samsung.
