I'm not dissing Samsung, like i said I'm just saying. If you're just bashing about one single word i said then there's something wrong with you.

and for your info, you obviously have never used a Sony phone before.

the following features may be different but they nearly function the same:
The music feature? Sony has it already called smart connect.
Sorting the most recent apps? Sony has it already for their apps menu.
Multi window? Sony has it already called mini apps.

and just to let you know, If you ever read any reviews, articles, personal opinions from others you have no idea what youre information you are missing. I've used Samsung products before including the S3 and note 2. Samsung pushes out too many features, yes they're not bad but you don't even realize its there and you don't/barely use it.
Sony pushes out features that people uses for sure, not sitting at the back wasting your space.

I'm sorry if my words have offended you, lets not start a war here.

Peace!

you nailed it, he must be a salesman lol !
who is on earth saying that Sony beats Samsung in UI and software features!
and since when there is a good plastic or bad since most of the phones use "polycarbonate", he just show us how ignorant he is.

Damn PlayStation kids, who praise anything Sony made .. even if its sh!t !

Sony's UI doesn't beat samsung's UI in terms of features, but it looks better than samsung's UI in my opinion.most phones use polycarbonate,it's not about whether the plastic is good or not, its about the feel. Look at the s3/note 2,it has a glossy finish and just feels uncomfortable in the hand, unlike the Xperia XT.

So Sony has S Pen functionality and multi view window functionality? Do they also have the functionality to detect when you are looking at the screen to keep the screen on? Or keep it from accidently rotating to landscape mode? Instead of making such a stupid statement with no examples to back it up with, how about you just not say anything at all? Itll prevent you from looking even more foolish.

if sony is so great why are average people not interested in their phones? here in dubai, ive only seen 3 xperia s and all of them are women, s3 note bb and iphones are selling like hotcakes. you might think highly of sony but sales matter and s3 and the gnote are selling wildly in comparison to sony's phones.

I don't know that you mean by "Sony already have 'most' of the features like that already", Sony has nothing like the multi-window or pop-out video.

the multi-window and the Facebook thing are neat but i thought the SIII did most of these things when it launched. xD

they better be careful too, they're walking into the realm of Moto's Smartactions and Moto may not take kindly to them being there...

why would they put the same features on this phone as on the note 2, if this is the case there is no real big reason to upgrade to the note 2

xD one would not upgrade from the SIII to the Note II. the Note II is a bigger alternative to the SIII.

IMO, the compelling value proposition for the Note II (other than larger screen size, quad core CPU + 2 Gb RAM) is the S-pen. Being able to see the contents of e-mails by hovering the S-pen over the e-mail without actually opening the e-mail is the definition of impressive. No S-pen for the GS III.

the Note II was probably just able to support the 4412 because it's big enough to have a separate LTE radio and the Note II also has a big enough battery to compensate for using a separate radio and besides the 4412 isn't just oodles more powerful than the S4. the US Variants of the SIII match the Note II's 2GB of RAM and the SIII's smaller size is the trade off for the S-Pen. a Stylus doesn't make sense for a phone the size of the SIII and it's not something i'd really miss with it.

There is a separate LTE radio in the GS III (I can send/receive e-mail while I am talking on the phone). I suspect the problems with the GS IIIs may have been with the LTE communication chipset (but that is just me speculating, I don't know for certain).

Whether there is room for a stylus or not in the GS III, the function of the S-pen to be able to preview e-mails is something else. I quickly scan my Inbox, and reply to the e-mails that I need to, without having to open each and every e-mail to see what the sender is saying. That alone justifies the price of admission of the Note II (for me).

no, phones with the S4 have Qualcomm's LTE radios integrated into the SoC. no Exynos variants have that which is why Exynos chipsets aren't coming state side in devices with LTE connectivity.

well then it sounds like the Note II is more appropriate for you but market-wise it's not an upgrade over the SIII, it's an alternative. that's all i'm saying.

Its great to be a GS3 owner, it really is :D Samsung are spoiling us, the Multi-view feature alone sets the GS3 and Note2 far apart from other smartphones, these two smartphones are truly far ahead of anything on the block, they are made for true power users who want a smartphone that can multitask properly, and only GS3 AND NOTE2 offer this, great work Samsung :)

My GS3 using both Multi-view AND Pop-up Play (running Google Maps, and Google Chrome while watching a video all in ONE screen):http://i759.photobucket.com/albums/xx240/Tsepz/Screenshot_2012-11-24-00-50-40.png

Too bad a software update cant get rid of the pentile display lol. I never had any problems with it before until I got the Note 2. Going back you can see the difference, brighter, sharper, colors are more accurate, etc. Samsung really listened to the consumers and I cant wait to see what they have planned next.

And it's just the beginning, software wise.

I hope someone takes it and has some fun with your account, kid

It doesn't really matter what features Samsung takes form the Note 2 and adds to the S3, I still plan to get the Note 2. It's got a bigger and better screen (non-pentile), S-Pen, and a quad-core processor (unlike the US variant of the S3). I'm just hoping that the price goes down sometime within the next 2-4 months.
