Here we go again. Note once again out to stomp stomp stomp.

Nope. I just know that Notes tend to smash existing flagships whenever they come out.

I really hope it would be exciting but if they keep the screen to 5.7 i will be disappointed.
5.9 inch would be ideal for the new phablet.

mine isn't. still alot to collect. :( probably, might have to wait for 2-3 months even after launch to buy one on cash.

Because my Note 3 is so awesome I might be sitting this one out. The 1080p 5.7" screen has been great for me. And no complaints with the performance or features.
Plus I got a 2013 Nexus 7 for my crack flashing disease.

After one year my Note 3 is still a monster ! The only thing missing is a good low light performance camera and a IP67 certification. If this one don´t come with those features I´ll wait until the next one.

You mean to tell us that you wouldn't want a higher resolution display at the same size, faster processor, and water & dust resistant certification? I know I would, and do.

I really hope that ultraviolet sensor doesn't make it, it seems a needless addition which few would need. And those who require a use of one would probably have professional equipment.

"a Snapdragon 805 system chip (plus a model with an Exynos 5433 for some markets)..."
It will actually be Exynos 5433 system chip (plus a model with 805 for some markets)

Undoubtedly, some bloated loser transit worker with delicate skin bitched at the moderators (like a whiny little chimp) like he whines about everyone else. Too bad it wasn't you. Tell me, what special things do you offer that they haven't kicked you off completely? Your knees must be really bruised-up'.
Personally, unlike like you, thus far, I am not impressed with the Note 4! (or, you for that matter; may I have a transfer pleeeeze?)
24. fanboyoftech (Posts: 27; Member since: 30 Aug 2013)
Oh my god. You mean to tell me that you guys sit around being happy, and/or arguing about someone getting temporarily kicked off a website? A phone website???
16. hardyt813 (Posts: 12; Member since: 04 Aug 2014)
Yea I wonder how much it gone to cost
1000 dollars or maybe 1200
Phones are getting more high tech so the cost of super smartphone is gone to cost more money
32. TechieXP1969 (Posts: 1975; Member since: 25 Sep 2013)
Its gonna cost the same as the last model, and the model before that and the model before that.

I have an iPhone 5 right now, and I was thinking about getting an iPhone 6, but I want to switch to Android. The Note 4 WILL be my next phone unless Apple does something amazing with the iPhone 6, but I'm 99.9% sure that they won't.
19. Carlitos (Posts: 388; Member since: 23 Oct 2011)
Yeah given how ios 8 looks already. I very much doubt something amazing to happen

Apple still running dual core processors and I6 rumor to still only have 1gb ram. Really? I have a 4 year old phone with 1gb ram. 2.5 year old phone with 2gb ram. Apple can't keep up on components. Apple didn't have LTE until last year. I've had it the past 5 years. Apple is a gimmick and a lot of people go with the hype and don't research actual specs. Proof, Jimmy Kimmel got a $20 digital watch that did nothing and put apple logo on it, told people it was the new I6 and hit the streets showing it. Everyone loved it and said they had to have one, and it did nothing but tell time. I've had all phones and personally I think apple is the worst of all. I'm waiting on the Beast! Galaxy Note 4

Apple has never had removable battery to change in case you had no way to charge or just wanted a extended battery. I would never buy a phone without removable battery. Also Apple has no removable memory card in case you need to swap for more memory. Samsung does make Apple's processors now though. That's a plus. Apple workers are paid half of what Samsung workers make, yet Apple phones cost more. All phone components including Apple are made over seas, so buy American is not an option here.

I sat the last one out and can't wait for the 4 to come out !!
23. leroy98 (Posts: 10; Member since: 29 Jun 2014)
I'm Dutch so it'll be easy to read the picture. :)
I've got now the Galaxy Note 2 and the Note 4 will be the follower.
In The Netherlands it'll cost about €699. Around 938 dollars. The same price as the Note 3 when it came out.
So it won't be cheap..

Did anyone else notice the August 13 date on the bottom?
I mean I don't understand what it says but the date is there
Coincidentally the rumored date for Galaxy Alpha announcement
Can anyone translate that part?

i really hope there is no lag since it has the 805. Thought it would have android L but since it won't be in November. i really hope they update it to L within 3 months.

Wonder with the resolution increase if battery performance will suffer? My friend upgrade a G2 to G3 and battery drains fast. After battery life on Note 3 just couldn't go back to any less. Other then that I know a beast awaits.
31. TechieXP1969 (Posts: 1975; Member since: 25 Sep 2013)
Expecting the Note 4 to take on most of the characteristics of the S5. Am sure it will have the same camera, same dimples on the back cover, same IP67 certification and all the other S5 features. After ll, the Note is just an S with a pen and larger size.
My Note 3 has been so good, I dunno if I am ready to depart with it.
36. GreekGeek (Posts: 909; Member since: 22 Mar 2014)
Snapdragon 805, QHD screen, samey battery, samey RAM, samey storage, more bloatware plus a few gimmicky software features that you can probably install in the Note 2 or 3 when custom ROMs become readily available
What else is groundbreaking here? What????

Hmm the note 4 hasn't been released and they have gave any real leaks so yeah what other phone offer ground braking news
37. .KRATOS. (Posts: 158; Member since: 15 Mar 2013)
Which is better the snapdragon version or the exynos.
42. ausnote2 (Posts: 84; Member since: 07 Dec 2012)
i hope the screen estate is 5.9 or greater, been the 1 priority phone feature since moving to o2 flame, htc hd2, dell streak 5, note 1, note 2 and currently rocking the note 3.
there are other phones with >5.7" but they usually lack the performance spec except pantech secret note but only sold in korea :(
still i will definitely buy it but not as excited as before if the screen remain static

Nice piece of device.. After Samsung will flood the market with their crappy Exynos version. They will showcase the Snapdragon version but will flood the whole market with that redundant Exynos that lag like hell on touchwiz. Too bad my country always get the crappy version. This was how I was tricked into buying Samsung galaxy note 10.1(2014 edition) with Exynos chips. The nonsense lag even when they claim to have made it with 3GB of RAM
44. Cod3rror (Posts: 72; Member since: 06 Apr 2013)
This phone is already outdated. It's running Snapdragon 805; which is the best, but last 32-bit processor.
So it most likely won't have 4GB RAM, or anything impressive, it won't have 128GB storage either, since you know, Samsung does nothing until Apple shows them the way.
As for design, I don't think anybody expects anything decent from Samsung's design department.

I had similar doubts about the Note 3. But it ended up being quite a nice device.
Sure KNOX/ATT somewhat ruined it, but the hardware itself was solid.
It's a phone/phablet with major weaknesses except perhaps the lower quality audio output through the headphones on the Qualcomm models.
I think Samsung will deliver a Note 4 that's along these lines -- a very capable device with no major weaknesses. It won't be 64-bit as it is too early for that. The top end 64-bit chips aren't out yet or take too much power. And Android 64-bit needs some more time on the stove.
A 5.7" S5 with a modern latest-gen AMOLED screen, 3GB RAM, Qualcomm 805, big battery, 16MP OIS camera, S-Pen, etc. is going to be quite a nice phone. Personally, I don't care if it is water resistant. But I would like to see an "activity button". That is a very useful feature of the S5 Active. Long press to unlock and go to camera and then it becomes the shutter. Just like the Z2.

The one spec phone manufacturers keep missing for me is Internal Memory! I was a happy Galaxy S3 owner with 32GB of internal storage, but the S4 and S5 went with 16GB. I jumped to a Nexus 5 (with 32GB internal) last year and the LG G3 (32Gb internal + a microSD card slot) this year.
The Note is ok at 32GB but you really need to start a phone like that with 64GB internal if you're going to also sell it as premium device: i.e. kick-ass point-and-shoot camera with High Def video capture and a HD screen. People need to store that data somewhere. We don't all have unlimited data plans at LTE speeds.

You had a 32GB GS3? Which country? Not in the US I am sure.
51. Broganmc (Posts: 2; Member since: 05 Aug 2014)
Sprint had the 32gb Samsung Galaxy S3 about 3 months after the initial release. I got mine in October of 2012. Cost me an extra $50. Once Samsung released the S4 they dropped the general release to a 16gb on all models except for Verizon. Verizon carried the 32gb version but only online. it w My local Samsung in-store rep said they never got the stock in store which is probably why a lot of people switched to the Note.

Note Series= The best of Samsung (even if its very expensive, it worths the money)
49. TechieXP1969 (Posts: 1975; Member since: 25 Sep 2013)
How is the Note expensive? In the US it's 650 off contract like the 16GB iPhone. The carriers here choose to subsidize less of the phone though both cost the same on retail. The Note is not expensive.
The unlocked international version tends to be and of course if you buy direct from Samsung you pay more. But again it's unlocked
