0. phoneArena 23 Sep 2012, 05:23 posted on

While Apple seeks more money from Samsung based on a filing made Friday, Samsung seeks to have a whole new trial after telling Judge Lucy Koh that the jury's original verdict, which awarded $1.05 billion to Apple, was unreasonable...

All flip phones and Bar phones back in the days looked the same. Maybe the companies should have sued each other. All of the phones had the same green neon screen and black type writer looking letters. Cellphones will always be similar looking. Apple phones just all look the same and very little has changed. Let Android live!!!!

If Apple can steal and copy and go scott free then others should also be allowed to steal and copy. Apple was in dodrums until it started lifting/stealing/copying. Even that sometimes they failed to dish out nice product ... Look at "TIM TOM" version of "TOM TOM" what Apple calls Apple Maps ...

Idiot ,Samsung phones wasnt sold on design but functionality and appeal in their software and bigger screens and Samsung didnt steal anything from Apple because first apple dont have any tech or design of their own ,in fact the tech in Apple is made by Samsung including the A6 chip that powers the Iphone 5.research before u write and dont be an apple stooge

I happen to be an ex owner of Samsung f 700, and it just puzzles me beyond belief how Samsung legal team could've miss to add that phone to their case on time.

It has almost EXACT design as the first galaxy phone, save for the hardware keyboard - beyond any doubt establishing the reference point for the galaxy line.
It was also relatively popular(in Europe) and decent phone.
Here's a nice review:

Which I believe was exactly the same as the Samsung Glyde on VZW.

That's what Apple has done! Copy -steal- lie- cheat should be their motto not "Think differently"! I'm a big technology fan and I think that Apple is hypocritical with these patents. They are picking on Android because it is open source. That means they can take from Android "maybe" improve the feature all without a second thought on if they will be sued.

Do you not know the difference between stealing an idea and copying something? A "touchscreen smartphone" is an idea, but making "an iPhone copy" is just plain IP theft. If it was no big deal, why were there no capacitive Samsung smartphones prior to the iPhone? The LG Prada launched almost simultaneously, and even though Apple owns prior IP, all of the multitouch patents, and had been developing the iPhone longer in secret, LG is still a valued partner and has never been a target. Coincidence?

it takes time. So why is Apple using Dual-core cpu?
Why the stolen notification? Why true multi-tasking on there ios6?

there is no true multitasking in iOS6. It's still fake pause & reload like it's always done. The only multitasking is by a select few core apps like music. yaaay.

Cause if it were true multi-tasking of a phone OS, they would owe someone royalties for attention infringement.

It's a dual core that uses A15 architectural elements, like VFPv4 and new memory controllers, but it is designed by Apple. The A6 is more advanced than the Exynos 4412 quad, and the CPU is just as advanced as the CPU in the Qualcomm S4 Pro, but the A6 GPU is much better than the Adreno 320.
Quad core != more advanced.

Because capacitive screens were a relatively new phenomenon at the time. Someone had to be first (and it was LG, not Apple, BTW).

The Prada, the F700 and the Sony designs that Apple were so interested in, clearly show that the rectangle with rounded corners dominated by a centered touchscreen and minimal buttons was the natural evolution of the smartphone, not the invention of Apple. How else do you explain so many coming to the same basic design at the same time?

The Prada was almost simultaneous, but we know from the Apple patents that it had been in development longer. No matter there.

The F700? Resistive, fat, QWERTY, dumbphone that came AFTER the iPhone? What is there to say to that?

Where were Sony's phones? Only LG launched one in 2007, with Flash OS, and they threatened lawsuit, but never filed. Why do you think that is? I imagine it was because they found out they were behind the curve.

Explain "an iPhone copy" because according to Apple it IS almost any phone with a touchscreen.

This shows us how pure Evil (Apple) corrupts all the judges (Koh) to serve for money and destroy progress.....it looks like it will stuck like car industry has stuck fo 50 years because progress means costs for car companies....the only way to fight against these evil things is NOT TO VOTE FOR THE DINOSAURS....vote for COMPLETE DIFFERENT parties if you want to have at least 1% chance to change anything...only a change means real progress for us
And we can see a lot of money for real science, for real progress, from Samsung brings a lot of money for Samsung (chips, AMOLED, ....) Even when there is a reccession of the worlds economy

Since Samsung is doing 267 PPI with RGB AMOLED Display, they might as well do 326 PPI with Pentile AMOLED Displays(like 4.5" SGS3).If they do this, they are gonna annoy Apple like heck.
