Now samsung wants to bring this up. I wish HTC would take Samsung to court over copying HTC SENSE with TOUCH WIZ.

Yep - Samsung totally ripped off 'Sense' and their fans says Touchwiz doesn't suck anymore (used to be a cheap knock off of iOS) and it's even better than Sense - LMAO. Those idiots make me laugh really hard.

You are either a HTC fanboy or extremely stupid and ignorant. If you think TouchWiz looks anything like Sense then you need your eyes examining.

i never knew any samsung mobile technology existed back in 1991. what i remember is our samsung flat iron back then. if talking about mobile technology, motorola is well ahead that time with their microtac, only 8 years before nokia came in.

LMAO - yep. Motorola, Nokia, Ericsson did all the work. Samsung ripped off their work for years. I love the way how Samsung is trying to take some credit in an Apple like way.

read it over - "invented much of the technology for today‘s smartphones." Samsung totally sounds like Apple. They are no different. They both are thieves and liars.

I'll make it easy for you. Name one single thing that Samsung made first ( I guess that's what's called innovation)

It is not about who made it first! Maybe Samsung is paying patent charges? Have you thinked about that?

HAHAHA. Have you even read what Samsung said -

"INVENTED much of the technology for today‘s smartphones"

That's the funniest quote of this year.

I'll ask it again since you keep dodging the point.

Name one single thing that Samsung INVENTED as they are claiming

schecter7 says that:

"Motorola, Nokia, Ericsson did all the work. Samsung ripped off their work for years."

Also schecter7 has quoted:

"...invented much of the technology for today‘s smartphones."

And you (dmn666) say that this quotation is 'proof':

"Why don't you read the article to find the 'proof'? He quoted straight from this article."

So, question for you (dmn666), HOW THIS QUOTATION PROVES THAT Samsung RIPPED Motorola's, Nokia's, Ericsson's WORK ???

Since their components are in so many smartphones... they sort of did?
Did I miss something?

components? do you understand the diff. between a smartphone and a dumb phone? It's the OS itself (made by Google not Samsung). There are tons of components makers - there is not a single component that's made by one single company.

I totally did - I said by making components you can't invent smartphones.

No you don't.
The difference between a smart phone and a dumb phone is not the OS itself. It's whether or not it can do more than just simple features (call/text), which is commonly referred to as feature phones.

There are tons of component manufacturers, yes, but the fact that components within Apple products using Samsung technology doesn't change, does it? Samsung is now part of the device when they made its components, no? Now if said components held patented technology which Apple does not have, isn't Apple patent infringing?

Also, this doesn't mean Samsung components are limited to smartphones, they can be in feature phones as well.

which component in iphone is fully/solely made by Samsung?

Processor? - wrong - it's designed by Apple itself just like Snapdragons/OMAPs are designed by QC & TI

Memory? nope - supplied by multiple suppliers

Flash memory? ditto

Screen - LMAO
