Apple already has the lawsuit to file on day 1 of sales of the GS IV.

Suing Samsung on what? Samsung Galaxy S III has nothing to do with iPhone! And I think S IV won't either
29. nlbates66 posted on 14 Feb 2013, 10:14 14 1
suing for having a screen of course, and for being a phone, obviously apple did that first geez.

they patent the phone.. there claming there the first that invented it.

Might gonna happen, depend on user anxiety...
a lot of galaxy s3 user change to note2 within 5months and that prove the sales have reach the target, and who know, the combination of galaxy s3 user and note2 user to exchange this beast might reach 100millions :)
24. wendygarett posted on 14 Feb 2013, 09:51 1 6
Hmm that's funny, if galaxy s3 is an future proof device, why are they being such insecure to change to note2? Scratching my head...
37. SleepingOz posted on 14 Feb 2013, 12:04 1 0
Those who switched to the Note II from the GSIII wanted a bigger screen and couldn't wait for the JB update imho. But the Note II sales is still insignificant compared to the GSIII. Idk where you take your sources from, but get your facts right, stupid troll!

If i'm seeing an SIV in the shape of SIII, that's it.
That's when i'll think Sammy's SIII cow died because of excessive milking.

That's a little over-ambiguous. Rivals are closer this year with their on 5"-ers and many phablets coming out.
6. Diego! posted on 14 Feb 2013, 08:48 11 0
Yes, I do agree. But "the supposed to be" king of smartphones for 2013, Sony Xperia Z, has gotten mixed reviews... So I guess Samsung has something under its sleeve to wow us when S IV gets announced :D

You do realize that _bone_ hate Xperia z don't you? Try not to taunt him please :)
12. Diego! posted on 14 Feb 2013, 08:57 4 0
Oh please! I really like Sony Xperia Z! I was just mentioning something I've read on every site/blog! Go check it out, everyone is complainging about the camera and display :|

Wendy probably pre-ordered one, that's why she's so defensive. ;)
In any case, ability alone doesn't sell a phone, it's performance, marketing and pricing, and while Samsung does the best on the first two fronts, the Huaweis, Oppos and Googles of the world are eating market share off with affordable flagships, and that's where the real competition is.
Huwaei sold more smart phones last year than HTC and Sony combined.

I'm sorry to say this bone... But before that, I congrats you to be a top 3 oem brand user ;)
But unfortunately, I would not afraid the pressure from groupie and I'm happy to be minority who owns non-mainstream products that have a good build quality :)
tons of red thumb I had received until now, and I'm still brave enough to say this to you to proof that I'm not afraid of groupie's pressure :p

10. Droid_X_Doug posted on 14 Feb 2013, 08:50 3 1
Not if they can't get the bits to build their phones with. If Sammy has managed to corner the market for critical internals, it doesn't matter how many competitors 'announce' products. It is all about being able to ship your toys.
If Sammy is able to constrain (or even stop) iToys from shipping, that would be taking a page out of Apple's playbook. The folks at Apple would scream themselves hoarse. Definitely fodder for a lawsuit.
25. ph00ny posted on 14 Feb 2013, 09:55 2 0
Did you forget? They build their own critical components. That's the reason why apple and other manufacturers have relied on samsung for years due to their capability of meeting the demand.

This is championship this its the way and style of Samsung, who is going to test sammy will find out the true champion, the only champion of 2013.

I'm ditching Microsoft and Windos Phone for the last time. Sorry, but I spent a lot of money on my Nokia Lumia 900 and three months after that, it was announced it wouldn't be updated to WP8. Bye Bye Nokia and Microsoft. Welcome back Sammy & Android to my hands! :D

Personally(as a power user), I really do not like what Samsung is doing to the Android market with its phones. Don't get me wrong, their phones are good, really good. But there are other phones that are equal or even better, or just down to personal preferences edge out on Samsung's Galaxy S series, but they get nowhere near the amount of accessory-support, software dev-base and general attention that they deserve. Mid-rangers get almost 0 accessories from high-profile companies and ROM devs, and only a small handful of low-ends get so much attention again just because of how popular they are due to affordability.
18. erdpov posted on 14 Feb 2013, 09:20 8 0
Who cares if Sony cannot make a real killer phone which will wow us, woo cares if HTC is always good at some things and sucks at others, they should blame themselves for not listening to people's needs. Remember galaxy s2. It was a phone with no compromises. It was really good at everything and people realized it and voted for it. Android gives equal possibilities to all oems.
20. wendygarett posted on 14 Feb 2013, 09:29 3 3
Agree, Sammy has no compromise and proof that Sammy made the sturdiest and sexiest phone among the android :)
38. Taters posted on 14 Feb 2013, 12:23 6 0
I disagree. There is a reason why Samsung is trusted. I research like crazy before choosing phones and the Sammy phones are just flat out better and that is why they sell.
There is no conspiracy theory about other Android phones being just as good, no matter how much the HTC fans wish to believe it.
The Optimus G and Nexus 4 I will give you are just as good if not better than the GS3 but really, they were released too late and the GS4 is too close. Anyone can make a superior phone after the fact, except Apple who lives in their own bubble, but Samsung is successful because they are the only ones that make a superior no compromise phone before the fact.
They have been doing this since the GS2, and when they weren't doing it in the GS1 days, HTC beat them in sales. See, fair and square. No anomalies like you HTC fanboys like to believe.
40. Taters posted on 14 Feb 2013, 12:33 2 0
They also schedule and plan really well. Not too early like the Sony and HTC. You don't want to jump in with the Xperia Z or M7 until you at least see the GS4. Then when the GS4 is finally beat by say the Optimus G2/Nexus 5 or a Droid DNA 2, 2014 is here with the Xperia Z2 and GS5 only about 2-4 months away.
44. JWS65 posted on 14 Feb 2013, 12:58 2 0
Couldn't agree more. Samsung's marketing and release schedule is spot on. They have winning formula on that with GS and Note line. GS for the middle of year and GN for the late year holiday season. People know what to expect when because of their clear and consistent marketing, development cycle.

when a I am deciding what phone to buy I totally rely on or bank on brand I trust. When I've bought s2 and it was nearly a perfect buy. At that time I was a salesman in a digital shop, I tried to compare it to a lot of competitors such as sony xperia arc and others S2 was really better in many aspects from battery life to superamoled screen. Later there was another win-win phone Galaxy Nexus. it was even more awsome to me. I fell in love with it's curved glass design and a bit increased size of screen. Another great phone from Sammy. Competitors like HTC sensation Xl were too heavy and their battery life sucked. All the factors made me fan of sammy. galaxy note and galaxy 7.7 tablet were just good and the fact that they hold very special exynos cpu was another selling point. S-pen, sAmoled screens, very light and slim body were very attractive for me. I hope Sammy will find a way to amaze us again like they did int the past.

S4 = the best software with new features like multiscreen + the gorgeous screen which will wipe out competitors + the awesome hardware with outstanding performance + very good camera + really good support in the future
19. emadshiny posted on 14 Feb 2013, 09:24 1 4
would you please give me the source of these specs? im really eager to know whether your information can help me.
26. erdpov posted on 14 Feb 2013, 09:56 6 3
It's a history, man, and some news articles on this site. 1080p amoled is confirmed, multiscreen is already a feature of s3 and note family, the s2 is still getting updates and very competitive, Sammy likes to be the number one in hardware, what phone was the first with 2 gb of RAM? Right, it was note 2, personally I like Touch wiz, especially in note phones.

I personally will be getting the gs4 mainly for future proofing, my soon to be three year old S2 still got he 4.1 update and the hardware is still relevant even if starting to show its limitations. Few phones, android anyway, will give you a solid three year of usage!

the only feature in nokia 920 which beats the any phone in the market is the pureview camera, apart from that there is nothing to speak about nokia 920

Yup, everyone is well behind the 920 in size/screen size ratio and weight. The Lumia definitely dominates those two categories handily.

I personally don't like that the home button will be present... It should die, also I'll wait to see the Motorola X phone and see witch packs features in could use the most in the end is us who wins, specially when it comes to actual useful stuff >;D come to papa

i for one hope sammy makes atleast this many s4's then missies the mark by atleast 15million....not that i think the phone will be a bust or anything i just hope the demand is lower than they expected then the prices will come down faster and will tempt me to grab it sooner :)
