if the size wont bother you get it in a heart beat. it's fast with GREAT battery life.

i dont think size will be a problem with such a great screen and the best of features in the market. this phone is breaking records and topping all the charts and rankings already!

This has to be the ULTIMATE Smart Phone. What you can do with it can't be done elsewhere.

EPIC piece of technology. Innovation at its fullest! lol

Mind blowing Sammy :)

Pop up apps and split screen apps should be native on Android. Come on Google, Android obviously supports it since Samsung and 3rd parties are making it happen. For Key Lime Pie apps like Gmail, Talk, Chrome and Youtube should all be pop up.

this stuff will be adapted by XDA for other Android phones - count on it.

I think that's likely, but so far there hasn't been much from the hacking community in this regard.

The best phone/tablet in the whole world. Most phones out there are smart but the galaxies are smarter. Samsung note 2= real value for your money

I had to laugh at the end of the 3rd one, the one about the S-Pen..."Do you know any other pens that have their own apps?"

I just bought galaxy note 2 n7100 unlocked phone and sold my galaxy note 1 n7000. To tell you the truth, the upgrade was worth it and I love this note 2. Mainly the battery really is good and it is very responsive phone compare to GN1. I thought I could hold on my GN1 for next year new GN3 but I am glad I didn't. Software upgrade was right away for the split screen feature but until now I am not able to record the screen as mentioned in some video in youtube by holding the home key and volume up. Still very happy with this note 2. Go sammy.

Thats a big ass phone, sorry. One of my turn offs is the size. Yea the Note series is selling, but I plan on getting a tablet one day. 4.7" phone/screen should be the max for a well rounded phone size.

13. chronopc posted on 25 Oct 2012, 17:22 9

The right size is going to depend on personal preference. A year ago a screen size of 4.7" was considered way too big. Now it's pretty much standard on flagship android devices. Also according to Steve Jobs 3.5" is the perfect size for the human hand lol.

22. bachelorrn0121 posted on 25 Oct 2012, 18:12 4

Apple logic:

iphone5 release - bigger than 4inch screen is too big in one hand

ipad mini release 7.9 inch - can hold it in one hand..

dafuq?

23. jroc74 posted on 25 Oct 2012, 18:24 1

I shoulda said 4.3" size phone. Cuz my Maxx HD is barely bigger than my RAZR...yet it has a bigger screen. On screen keys aside...

I just look at putting these phones in pockets. Phablets are becoming the norm...lol.

17. redmd posted on 25 Oct 2012, 17:52 5

with the note in hand I haven't had any use for my transformer. it's an all in one device.

Steve jobs statement is just an opinion.and what do you call those who follow others opinion? it's a brave statement but it should be evidence based.

but I agree that 5 inch phones are not for everyone. I for one want a 4 incher high end android phone which I have yet to see.

I'm sadly not going to buy the Note 2, I was excited to replace my original Note but there are far too many people purchasing/ preordering the phone. The reason I stopped using an iPhone, I was tired of seeing 10 people in a restaurant with the same phone, call me picky but I can’t stand seeing five people with a white Note now. Might go with the Nexus 4.

15. chronopc posted on 25 Oct 2012, 17:24 3 1

I don't think you're going to have that problem with the Note 2. It's a great phone, but the size will turn a lot of people off. Right now the phones you will run into everywhere is the iPhone and the S3.

18. kcombs posted on 25 Oct 2012, 17:56 2

that's what I thought about the original Note, I'm seeing it everywhere now.

24. chronopc posted on 25 Oct 2012, 18:41 1

I have a Galaxy Nexus. I almost never run into another person with it. Makes me feel special :)

19. redmd posted on 25 Oct 2012, 17:57 3

totally agree. it's iPhone and S3 everywhere. S3 is incredibly common it's everywhere.

not going with note 2? it's sad though you can't go wrong with the nexus 4.

20. LordDavon posted on 25 Oct 2012, 17:59 4

So, I got it today. I have been loving it! Great! Just great!

That girl is way too hot, Samsung. She is distracting me from looking at my next phone! AFK fapping.

I Pre-ordered mine for Sprint this morning through a 3rd party. Will have it in two weeks(their official launch date and I am literally the first on the list. For the store in my area). I walked over to the Sprint store after I placed my Pre-order and they had some in the store only received 5. 1 an employee took before opening two had to be setup for demo's, 1 in each color. There was one left when I went there, but I already have my Pre-order in and it will be purchased with giftcards. So I can't justify Spending the $300 after upgrade plus $36 activation fee when I already have giftcards available. Although the thought did cross my mind to purchase it from sprint and take advantage of their 14day return/exchange setup. I could purchase it and use it for 13days then return it and pay nothing. If you just return without exchange because you are unsatisfied it is of no cost to you. You only have to pay a restocking fee if you come in to exchange it for another device. Only thing holding me back is that the company I preordered through is only selling to people with upgrades or new contract customers. I confirmed that I would still retain my upgrade status for a device through Sprint after returning the Item, BUT** it could take around 3 days for the upgrade to "refresh" in the system. I certainly don't want to be bumped out of first inline because of this. Although I am dying I waited all this time watching all the reviews of people over seas getting hands on for a month. Then I thought I'd be able to purchase today, cause I checked before hand and they "guaranteed" me that they would be carrying it on launch day. I get up to head that way make a call as I'm roughly a mile out to be told "NOPE we actually didn't receive any shipment and it's not even in our system...sorry"

So I went to a different store stepped in the door they told me no dice i asked another employee to please ask one of their superiors. Lucky she said she will do some digging real quick and went through 3 of the company's systems and found a preorder on the third. After jumping a million hoops and being persistent(cause if I hadn't, I definitely would have walked out with my d**k in my hand and SOL. But luckily I found a good employee and offered ideas which worked.)
