I don't know how many patents Samsung applies for or has. But would be be to unsafe to assume, that we have a better chance of actually seeing an arrival of a product sooner vs many other OEM's?

Example, we saw Samsung patent application for the edge display, 2 years after that the Note 4(Edge) was a reality after several prototypes were shown in public right after the patent application.

And now they have had several products use the concept.

For me I think wireless charging would be enough, because the data transfer thing would likely be slow and likely case slower charging.

But let's see a working concept.

Taking off my Gear S3, laying it on my phone to charge it, without needing another wall adapter sounds really useful.

@CNOUR - But if Apple had done such, you'd fine it the most awesome thing in the world. You're such a troglodyte.

You don't like, own or use Samsung products. SO why be a dick and have something negative to say.

Its useless to you because you don't own any Samsung products.

You are such a swine!

"You don't like, own or use Samsung products. SO why be a dick and have something negative to say."

The last one who can say this sentence is you liar Techie. You don't like Apple, but you put your ass in each article about it. At least I'm not saying fake news like you to defend my viewpoint.

You know more than me that Samsung ideas are always bulls**t like your head.

I wouldn't mind this at all. I sometimes forget to take my gear charger when i'm gone for the long weekend and sadly Gear S3 frontier doesn't last 3 days

Good idea, just days ago was nervous I left the charger in a hotel room. I packed it, but know it could be easily lost.

Sounds great, but my Gear S3 never gets below like 70%. Awesome idea though Samsung, make it happen.

Others will follow.
