Samsung launches next generation film and web initiative

Samsung's plans to introduce a new film and web initiative, called AnyFilms.net, were revealed. AnyFilms.net consists of two sections - Ubiquitous Films and InteractiveFilms. Ubiquitous Films allows users to download films and watch them directly on some selected Samsung mobile phones. Three short films, assembled specifically for the site by Jon Kilik (executive producer of Broken Flowers and Alexander), are currently available to download. InteractiveFilms on the other hand enables consumers to become producers and make their own films. They can select from 4 icons from a set of six positions anywhere within the film grid, which gives them the possibility to create 11,101 different films. Although the link is alredy live, Samsung is expected to officially announce AnyFilms.net on December 24 2005.
