A few shots of the display of a working Samsung SCH-i760 for Verizon Wireless reveal that the device runs on Windows Mobile 6 Crossbow, as earlier rumors revealed. The Samsung i760 was showcased during the CES show in Vegas, but the demo unit was without a battery, probably in order not to show the new version of the operating system.

The Samsung SCH-i760 is WM Pocket PC device with dual usage – in standard mode it has common numeric keypad and large navigation key, while opening a side-sliding QWERTY keyboard turns it into powerful messaging device, similar to the Apache (XV-6700). It will feature WiFi and 1.3-megapixel camera. Still there is no information about release date and we can just hope it will be available soon.
