Samsung spend more money on R&D than any other smartphone oems, you ignorant troll!
"Seriously.. enough of this Samsung marketing news.."
goo.gl/aVQ5t here you go! =D
Oh btw, did you know that the GSIV scored 9.3(same as the GSIII) from PA, which is the best score they ever gave to a smartphone so far.. And have you read the review where GSMArena give the GSIV the title of the BEST SMARTPHONE right now? =]
I bet you're even more butthurt now! LMAO!
24. chocolaking (Posts: 421; Member since: 22 May 2012)
I do not buy phones base on review. do you?
if you nott, then why care abt the review?
PA always have super good and biased review on ALL samsung products anyway.
36. SleepingOz (Posts: 2485; Member since: 22 Oct 2011)
Up to you, dude..
But when you say that professional tech sites are biased because their in-depth comparisons say that X is, overall, better the Y(the brand you're supporting), you better come with some valid evidence to prove your claims! Otherwise, you're being the biased one. =]
They might have spent more money on marketing than R&D but how does this change the fact that they still spend more money than any other smartphone oems?!
FLAWED LOGIC here!
I'm not offended at all, I'm just pointing the BS out of your comments, TROLL!

and enter 'samsung copycat' as you wish.
you can then read off unlimited reports and articles of samsung violating/copying other company's innovation..
I hope samsung can actually make something ontheir own. not just spend money on marketing and copying other ppl's idea and call it Research and Development.

25. chocolaking (Posts: 421; Member since: 22 May 2012)
THis is for you Oz
they spent all the money on advertising, even including making up number on how much they drop on R&D..
samsuck has great strategy of marketing.. indded.
but i just wish they can actually make some effort on R&D on their own. and not copying other companys technology..
please don't feel offended. I am pointing at samsung not you.

I am proud to be from Romania especially since we have one of the best internet speeds in the world, 4G and one of the best data plans ,contracts and pre pay sim cards.
16. PhoneArenaUser (Posts: 4627; Member since: 05 Aug 2011)
"I am proud to be from Romania especially since we have one of the best internet speeds in the world..."
It is good that you are proud of your country (I don't have anything against you or your country). And yes, I agree that situation with internet speed in Romania is good, but it is not enough good to say that Romania have one of the best internet speeds in the world because it is not true!
Go and check Download and Upload statistics here:
Talking about Download statistics by world countries, Romania is not even in Top 10 (13 place).
Talking about Download statistics by world cities, Constanta (Romanian city) is enven not in Top 5 (9 place).
Talking about Upload statistics by world countries, Romania is not even in Top 5 (8 place).
Talking about Upload statistics by world cities, Constanta (Romanian city) is in 5 place.
I really don't have anything against your country, I'm just talking about internet statistics. Peace! :)

I'm from Romania and i apreciate that you didn't offend my f**king country even if you will have enought reasons.
Yes, he exaggerated with "the best internet speed".
You will be surprised to see that samsung prepared such a big show on the tallest building in Bucharest for Romania. But here the smarphones sells like hot bread. You can see someone with a brand-new s4 and he has lots of bills that wait to be paied.Or s4 and f**king 5 dollar clothes on him.
Ooooo yeah please, please world understand that gipsies are not Romanians they are gipsies(indians or other asian origins).
27. Eonnaydra (Posts: 186; Member since: 23 Oct 2012)
We are not gipsies/Roma(how are they called),we are romanians(white skin),descendants of Geto-Dacs(Thracian tribe) and of Roman Empire(that's why our country has that name Romania->from Roman Empire). We are a latin nation, with the most pure/stock latin language.
Gipsies have migrated to Europe some centuries ago from North India. They are everywhere in Europe, not just in Romania. The problem with them is that they don't like to work and instead of doing that they are stealing.
Please, don't be brainwashed by the European Media Agencies.
44. PhoneArenaUser (Posts: 4627; Member since: 05 Aug 2011)
I'm also from Europe, from Lithuania and here in Lithuania we also have a problems with gipsies, majority of them are selling drugs in my country. :(
But as I have told before, I understand that not all Romanian citizens are gipsies and or bad people. :)
42. PhoneArenaUser (Posts: 4627; Member since: 05 Aug 2011)
"I'm from Romania and i apreciate that you didn't offend my f**king country even if you will have enought reasons."
I understand that not all Romanian citizens are bad people, there is also a good people. There is no country or nation without bad or good people, all countries and nations has good and bad peoples. :)
48. SGSatlantis (Posts: 205; Member since: 20 Jul 2011)
Excuse me I'm not an expert, but wasn't Romania just a province in the Roman Empire? Like under occupation!?
56. PhoneArenaUser (Posts: 4627; Member since: 05 Aug 2011)
I don't know, I'm from Lithuania. SoulEater1667 or Eonnaydra should know better.
63. SoulEater1667 (Posts: 23; Member since: 18 Apr 2013)
Kind of, ithink. This country was and still is a wealthy country from the perspective of natural resources. And the roman Empire conqured this zone and filled it whith roman soldiers. The people of Dacia were forced to learn latin in order to trade things and speak with the occupents. And also some soldiers married some of the womens or just have babes whith them.Because of those Romania is a country whith very stock latin language and roman gens.
64. SGSatlantis (Posts: 205; Member since: 20 Jul 2011)
I didn't know that the Romanians claimed Roman decendence. I'm not looking for a fight, and I do respect your national feelings, but Rome conquered Dacia and held the region for less than 200 years. It seems a bit far fetched that the Romans though of the Dacians as their equals. Romans killed, raped, took slaves and destroyed all over the Balkans, I don't think that they treated the Getae and the Dacians any different. The Ottomans held the Balkans for 500 years and no one claims Turkish heritage. Anyways as to your original post, out of 193+ countries in the world, to be the 13th it is one of the top. @PhoneArenaUser, it's twice as fast as the internet speed in UAE and Israel, and they are freaking rich:)
65. PhoneArenaUser (Posts: 4627; Member since: 05 Aug 2011)
"it's twice as fast as the internet speed in UAE and Israel, and they are freaking rich:)"
And that's why in my comment #16 I have wrote:
"...I agree that situation with internet speed in Romania is good..."
And then according to the internet statistics, Top 10 by world countries, I have said:
"...but it is not enough good to say that Romania have one of the best internet speeds in the world..."
Of course I admit that overall situation with internet speed in Romania is really good. :)
SGSatlantis, you are from Bulgaria?
67. SGSatlantis (Posts: 205; Member since: 20 Jul 2011)
Yes I live in Sofia, 10th place in cities:) still Lithuania kicks ass! I still can't believe that the eastern block has faster internet that the west.
70. Eonnaydra (Posts: 186; Member since: 23 Oct 2012)
Nop,here is no turkish influence in culture, genes or anything. And we were occupied by Ottoman Empire for 300 years, not 500.Anyway,they couldn't conquer us despite having a bigger army for decades.
11. _Bone_ (Posts: 2067; Member since: 29 Oct 2012)
Well this was anticlimactic. Copter flies in to Bond music, surely something is going to happen, but no. A peek at the phone and bye.
13. doctor007 (Posts: 2; Member since: 17 Apr 2013)
yeah advertise the device like crazy.. and then take expenses from customers by costing them extra
17. Cwilliams (Posts: 14; Member since: 02 Apr 2013)
this is really getting ridiculous, just shows Samsung how desperate to market there phone and pleasing anyone to buy it, to me this is just a waste of time and money, in my country the phone demo was available and anyone could come and try it out, Samsung is becoming desperate with high streak competition, I myself own an S3, and I would not upgrade to the s4, just cuz its 2 miliseconds faster, the only gripe i think i might be loosing is its battery which is rated more, Seriously Samsung has gone nuts with an array of the same looking models, s4 mini, s4, s3 mini, s3, Galaxy Grand, Galaxy Duos, Everything looks alike and its a shame they could not make them look much fashionably sophisticated, The Sony Z and the HTC One proved that they do think of design and there design is much better than the Mock up S4.
20. kclgphilsbsa (Posts: 762; Member since: 21 Jan 2013)
Yah dey r desperate.. but thats their business.. mind our own :)
Design design..yah samsung designers are crap>oops only the back panel :)
32. nk_blu (Posts: 7; Member since: 26 Jul 2012)
For regular folks other than you and I, this is a pretty good (but little crazy) way to attract attention to your product and brand. Simple as that.
23. Leo_MC (Posts: 394; Member since: 02 Dec 2011)
You need a suitcase and a helicopter to carry such a big monster of a tablet-device, called phone by Samsung.
29. ebubekir26 (Posts: 305; Member since: 21 Dec 2012)
Tablet- device ? What the hell are you talking about? !
Such a butthurt hater
It Is a phone, not because samsung calls it a phone, but because the world calls it a phone, I mean SmartPhone, the smartest of them all
34. Leo_MC (Posts: 394; Member since: 02 Dec 2011)
137 mm in length? give me a break: It's a smart-tablet, a monster-phone, the smartest ping-pong paddle.
62. Leo_MC (Posts: 394; Member since: 02 Dec 2011)
That changes everything... not.
What's over 120 is big; what's over 130 is tablet.
66. PhoneArenaUser (Posts: 4627; Member since: 05 Aug 2011)
Since you are so sensitive to millimeters, I thought that 0.4 mm will be important for you.
I agree that ergonomics is very important, but I think that Samsung Galaxy S 4 has right size, Samsung Galaxy S 4 is even smaller than Samsung Galaxy S 3.
37. InspectorGadget80 (Posts: 5657; Member since: 26 Mar 2011)
Something must be seriously wrong with u. Its not a tablet first of all its a 5"phone 1080p full hd screen. Go troll else where
40. Leo_MC (Posts: 394; Member since: 02 Dec 2011)
Yeah, I have normal fingers, unlike... 0.05% of population that feels confortable using a tablet-phone like S4.
49. SGSatlantis (Posts: 205; Member since: 20 Jul 2011)
If you consider the S4 too big, it means one of the following:
1. you indeed have small fingers/hands
2. you wear tight jeans (you're gay/bi)
3. the phone is bigger than your junk, and that makes you uncomfortable.
61. Leo_MC (Posts: 394; Member since: 02 Dec 2011)
I'm 10 cm above average height; the rest of my body parts are proportional with my height.
I don't wear jeans but I wear tight suits especially made for me (I have no problem with gay people).
The S4-tablet is bigger than a phone - any phone - that's why I call it a monster.
68. SGSatlantis (Posts: 205; Member since: 20 Jul 2011)
I'm glad you didn't take offence with my comment, it was humorous. I have nothing against homo-, bi-, metrosexuals or whoever wears tight jeans, nor with people with small hands:)
I know screen size is a personal preference, but the S4 is as big as the S3 and in all practical sense as big as every other 4.6+ inch smartphone. It is closer to the iPhone 5 than to a tablet, and is still pocketable and one hand user friendly in my experience(with GNex and S3).
