Samsung just admit you copied Apple, pay them for damages and make a deal like the judge has requested. Samsung has made steps to get away from Apple with newer devices but they can talk until they are blue in the face, they were obsessed with Apple and they copied....Bottom line!

A perfect example of blind Apple worshipping.

Samsung galaxy tab screen size is 10.1" they do that to have more panel yield.

Apple iPad screen size is 9.7" they do that because Steven Job wants it. Reason only Job would know.

Tre-Nitty said that its an example for the court that Samsung copied Apple. I don't how a person could come to this conclusion!?

How i wish Tre-Nitty could represent Apple for this lawsuit.

you said nothing that shows samsung did not copy apple…

so what if they used a 10.1 inch? does it make a difference if it was 10.1, 10.2 or 9.7? being relatively close enough that someone cannot tell the difference between the two products standing 10 feet away (ahem samsung lawyers) is what is the problem here

and please.. stop preaching to steve jobs like he was the only person at apple with a brain… obviously he was a very intelligent person who guided apple, but apple can survive without him

We are talking about a patent with round rectangle corners, remember! If shape matters, than the size should matter as well.

Heard of an old saying, don't let anyone tell you otherwise, SIZE do matter!

So i will take 10.1" over 9.7" any day!

yes size matters… but the difference between 9.7 and 10.1 is negligible in a real world comparison between a copied product design

to below: yes i am sure about that-- apple has gained about 200 in stock price since steve jobs' death… in other words around 150% give or take a few percentages

I am not sure what you are saying.. there is a double negative i think.. or you are saying you talk about steve jobs because he is a nice person-- but really i think apple can survive without him making every little decision

The overall screen size is negligible, but they have different aspect ratios as well. The iPad is more square-ish than the Galaxy Tab, and the Galaxy Tab is meant to be used in landscape, while the iPad is more portrait friendly.

And to those people who think the Galaxy tab is an iPad; they really should get their eyes checked. If the different aspect ratio, lack of a home button, Samsung branding, plastic design, and lack of a big Apple logo on the back of it doesn't make you think, "This isn't an iPad," you might have some problems. Not only that, but if the device is actually on, you can see that the Galaxy Tab isn't running iOS.

If you just look at the front of it not turned on, there is still the lack of that signature Apple home button and the different aspect ratio, which is a dead give-away. Now, with all that said, the only thing that is the same with the Galaxy tab and the iPad is that they are both rectangles, though the iPad is still kinda square.

If you can't tell the differences in a real-life scenario, whether online or in a store, you need help.

I agree with your first point, but I am not sure apple is suing them based on those terms, it is more the overall design and impression I believe… I am not in the courtroom hearing the case so I cannot judge on apples patents-- but in non-legal terms the galaxy tab has the general similarities to that of the ipad

again I agree with your second point, I am not sure how anybody could confuse them, but the fact is they did… and since they did apple has that as a weapon-- they dont care in court how stupid the people are, just that the confusion did occur

I really have no way of defending said people who cant tell the difference.. all i know is that they cant and that is what matters

and I am not sure if you are talking about me or a you in general as that is a fault of the english language, but I personally CAN tell the difference.. i think apple's case relies on those documents and ad-surveys saying how people cannot tell the difference… and the extremely vague patents they were granted…

but do i fault apple with launching an attack on a company when they were placed every tool needed within a five foot radius? no

Lol, this entire trial is a joke. Apple needs to suck up the fact that no one is going to make a tablet that looks like this;
http://media.idownloadblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/samsungs-galaxy-tab-e1323728699240.jpg

Get over yourself, it's a general design. Apple mine as well go and sue all of the pc manufactures for making monitors because they all look exactly like the Thunderbolt Display. Or suing them for making a computer with 'A tall tower like structure made of medal, with fans and holes for ventilation.' because the Mac Pro is exactly that.

You very sure about that??

I don't preach about steve jobs because he is not a nice person (in my book) and certainly not god.

I don't use any samsung phone or gadget but i do have an iPad 1 (sold), iPad 2 (sold), the new iPad (sold) and two macbook pro, one i use at home and the other in my office.

I don't use iPhone because its overprice so an Android phone make more sense to me. Got a refurbish Xoom wifi that running jelly bean now which i love to death. Got it for $199 and it rock the hell out of my three iPads combine.

Why i use macbook is because their trackpad gesture make using a mouse irrelevant, that's innovation to me.

I support apple innovation, not their lawsuit.

Wow what a comeback to the last post haha. anyway joey has the facts straight. as for me i do prefer the Samsung phones right now but when someone comes out with a better set of phones i might jump to the next company ( looking at you Sony Mobile :0 or motorola XD). i just hate hearing when customers are quick to say iPhone is the best because right now i don't see what is good about them, maybe the retina i'll give em that. I really can't believe how they get away with those over price phones i got my sgs2 with a 32gb memory card 48 gb total space for a fraction of the iPhone price 100 bucks on black Friday while apple doesn't even offer specials.

I just want this to be on record for the future when this will inevitably happen: Tre-Nitty, when Apple releases their version of Google's Project Glass (which recent patent filings show they are going to release their own version), are you going to finally admit that Apple copied Google even if Google releases their version after Apple has released theirs?

so both companies copied.. and?? if Apple copied Google let Google sue them.. this is about Samsung copying Apple.. and you wonder why Samsung is losing...

gallitoking, at some point you need to stop "toking" and see things from a open perspective.

People arent giving you thumbsdown to offend you, its because your comments hold no weight or value.

Nobody likes blind fanboys. Analyze your objective, because you are making ppl hate apple more and more.

my question here is, why do apple sue samsung alone? there are lots of slates that looks like iPad, why samsung alone?

The answer is that, it's because, they see samsung as a strong competitor.

Yeah, they are going after the big fish first. But I reckon their ultimate target is Google.

"But I reckon their ultimate target is Google."

And Google = Android, if there is no Android then majority smartphone developers will be left without OS (at least for awhile) and it is good for Apple.

Indeed. Imagine no Android. It would have been iOS vs Symbian. Just the thought of that makes me sick. lol
