0. phoneArena posted on 26 Dec 2012, 06:22

On Wednesday, Korean manufacturer Samsung said it had filed with the U.S. ITC for a U.S. sales and import ban on some of Ericsson's telecom equipment after the latter was accused by Samsung of violating seven of its patents and seems like a retaliation for Ericsson;s request for a ban on Samsung products and a suit filed by Ericsson claiming patent infringement on Samsung's part...

Everyone should realise why Samsung sue Apple. It's because Apple are idiots. But Ericsson have tried all means possible for a decent deal. And they will dominate Samsung.

Samsung have caught the patent fever and are now just being immature. That's why I say they are second to Apple in childishness too.

So Samsung loses the patent war because they couldn't utilize their own ideas so they try and sue someone else?

Yup Apple (and to some extent now even Oracle) is pioneer in Patent trolling. That said, i hate patent in software/hardware no matter who initiates it.

To hell with so called patent...for us consumers what we want is best products with high efficiency.... I wish of all compaNies could just concentrate in new inventions and their customer satisfaction instead of posing much stake on politics....

Samsung and Ericsson should settle. Apple lose their publicity war because of their silly lawsuits.

Seeems like some ppl this part of the article:

"But this all seems like retaliation after Ericsson recently sought an import ban in the U.S. for some of the Korean manufacturer's products, and also filed suit against Samsung for patent infringement after a patent deal between both firms had expired."

All I will say is the lawsuits need to stop, period. Sammy, if a patent deal expired...either sign a new deal or stop using their stuff. Seems easy to me..
