Nothing shows the number of galaxy s family, galaxy note and galaxy nexus smartphones sold?

2. taco50 (banned) posted on 27 Jul 2012, 09:40 4 13

Samsung doesn't report it. They don't even report smartphone sales so the 50 million is an analyst best guess.

4. OSFantasma posted on 27 Jul 2012, 10:21 6 2

oh samsung this samsung that please taquito haha.. When are you going to give up on this feud between you and Android fans?
Why does it matter if its analyst projection they could have very well sold more then that or a bit less either way SAMSUNG is on a roll.

I'm answering his question of why no breakdown

33. remixfa posted on 27 Jul 2012, 17:01 5 1

i dont see iphone broken down by model either, taco.. so whats your point?

Even if their guess is off 20% which is pretty unheard of, they still smashed apple. Get over it.

35. jroc74 posted on 27 Jul 2012, 17:31

Exactly....

Just last year the iPhone 3GS was in the top 5 phones sold at the beginning of the year.

All of Apple sales arent the 4 and 4S. Those cheaper iPhones are getting sold too...

7. roscuthiii posted on 27 Jul 2012, 10:39 5 2

I believe the recent court mandates that both companies divulge financial records makes that statement incorrect taco.
Please, try to stay on top of things if you're going to troll.
I mean, it's one thing to troll, but it's another to troll with the wrong information.

9. OSFantasma posted on 27 Jul 2012, 10:56 3 1

Thank you Roscuthii i was going to add that.. and oh how he loves to troll that poor taquito..

Ok care to provide a link then with Samsung sales by device?

17. roscuthiii posted on 27 Jul 2012, 12:32 1

Care to provide a link that backs up your statement? I mean, you are the one that claimed this information is incorrect. Burden of proof is on the plaintiff you know.

20. taco50 (banned) posted on 27 Jul 2012, 12:54 1 3

What I said is a fact and I can provide proof. You however can not.

16. tedkord posted on 27 Jul 2012, 12:18 5 1

Fair enough, but we're talking 52 million to 26 million. Do you think the analysts could be over 26 million units off? Face it, just like last quarter, Samsung is the biggest smartphone seller in the world.

19. taco50 (banned) posted on 27 Jul 2012, 12:53 2 3

Samsung obviously had a great quarter. I was answering his question of why no breakdown for which smartphones sold how much.

24. taz89 posted on 27 Jul 2012, 13:25 2

We know at least 10 million of those were galaxy s3's

40. ScottSchneider posted on 27 Jul 2012, 23:30 1

Can you stop your b!tch!ng n jus read the post n get out... I knw no one asked me to n this is a public post... Neither did anyone to you... So it woould be good if you can stop your whining... 10. OSFantasma posted on 27 Jul 2012, 10:59

i have come to the conclusion that when apple updates they only update for certain things and call it brand new for instance the in-app purchase but and maps are going to be fix on and added in the iOS 6 update while apps on android can usually be update independently of the OS. apple needs to do the same thing instead of making a whole new version of ios just for a few changes here and there.

14. taco50 (banned) posted on 27 Jul 2012, 11:57 2 2

What? Apps on iOS get independent updates all the time.

There's already a fix in place for in app purchases, but theyre working on a better one

31. OSFantasma posted on 27 Jul 2012, 15:58

yes for sold apps im talking about the system apps and settings

34. remixfa posted on 27 Jul 2012, 17:01 1 1

the fix doesnt come until iOS6 releases, troll.

m an die-hard fan of android.. but m just frustated over android update..!!jus waiting for new fone of google-motorola which mite get update mostly..!! I just hate samsung or lg or another android manufacturers as they all should think of making limitation to get next android updates.. !!!

43. haseebzahid posted on 28 Jul 2012, 13:35

well man this is policy of any OEM if a device dont get outdated who will buy their new devices so they make sure old devices dont get updated for longer then they want :P its fact deal with it no matter IOS Android WP all same

15. tedkord posted on 27 Jul 2012, 12:14 1

Because it's so much more powerful than the competition, offers choice, and unlike three years ago, it's as smooth and fluid as any other mobile OS.

21. taco50 (banned) posted on 27 Jul 2012, 12:55 2 2

No it still lags. I've tested it myself. Jellybean is attempting to address the lag issues.

22. Evil_SaNz posted on 27 Jul 2012, 13:12 3 1

Isn't attempting, JB addressed the lag with triple buffering. So now you got real multitasking, real time notifications (push byebye) animated backgrounds with no lag - iOS is still stuck in year 2007, but is magic!

26. remixfa posted on 27 Jul 2012, 13:40 3 1

my old single core SGS1 doesnt lag with ICS. your just a troll with your eyes closed as always.

27. networkdood posted on 27 Jul 2012, 14:38

my captivate works supremely with JB :-)

30. tedkord posted on 27 Jul 2012, 15:57

I'm going this on the Verizon variant right now. Zero lag anywhere on this phone. Period. I can't even make it lag by opening lots of apps. I've tried.

Not surprising, as with Gingerbread my Thunderbolt had no lag (as I showed on YouTube with a demo of the phone)

36. jroc74 posted on 27 Jul 2012, 18:29

I have a RAZR that on GB and with Blur didnt or didnt as much.

A Rezound on GB and Sense UI that didnt or didnt as much.

A G Nex with stock ICS that didnt.

I wonder do ppl equate the launcher with overall phone use. Cuz I just installed Apex and Nova launcher....and they are both faster, less laggy than stock ICS or Blur launchers.

Sense UI launcher is pretty lag free too.

On my Droid X1 ....the stock launcher was laggy as hell...but the rest of the phone was better.

18. webOSlove posted on 27 Jul 2012, 12:33 1 1

I'm (obviously) not an Android or iOS fan, but id much rather see Samsung take it over. iOS is such a tired OS. It still feels the same since 2007 (not exactly the same though) Android 4.0 has copied webOS in some ways, like the cards and notifications, but with Android, swiping away cards just feels like a clunky add on rather than something that's part of the UI. Being a webOS fan, id rather see Android (if not webOS) take over the mobile space over iOS

44. haseebzahid posted on 28 Jul 2012, 13:37

Well samsung is copy machine along with android if u see they samsung models after first iphone release they all seems to look alike the iphones samsung noobs dont have a different thing to do

45. tedkord posted on 28 Jul 2012, 16:07 2

Wah wah. My smartphone platform of choice is getting its ass kicked in consumer preference. (And features, function, etc...)

46. webOSlove posted on 30 Jul 2012, 13:03

the only reason people dont choose webOS over Android is because 90% percent of them dont even know its a choice that exists . everyone i know who has switched from android to webOS finds it much better and intuitive. in my opinion webOS s a hell of alot better

23. bstepchin posted on 27 Jul 2012, 13:12 1

I agree. I've had an iPhone for a couple of years, and while it's a great device and gets the job done, I got tired of it and decided to try the galaxy s iii. I find the galaxy to be more entertaining because of the options that android provides, like widgets, and the extra features of the device itself, but one thing I miss (and this is about the only thing) on the iPhone is the well-executed notification system. Also, some apps that I had on iPhone don't run as smooth on my galaxy, but that's a minor issue. Overall, I am definitely enjoying the galaxy, but in the end, both devices are great and have their strengths and weaknesses, so it just really comes down to personal preference. I hope that one day everyone quits bickering about which device is best, because that's not any better than the patent wars.

25. PhoneCritic posted on 27 Jul 2012, 13:35

Agreed. It is what gets the Job done. I too was an iPhone user but about a year ago during my renewal period opted for S2 Skyrocket after waiting for the iPhone 4s which turned out to be a duplicate of the iPhone 4, in my opinion, and really offered nothing really innovating. I had a need for increased data speed as I am always on the go for work producing and receiving large data files thus LTE was a top priority. Also I wanted the freedom to differentiated myself from everyone else via wallpapers widgets etc... and Android offered that ability. It came down to personal preferences.

One thing that saddens me though is that Apple is engaging in this petty patent war. This really tarnishes their fine reputation in my eyes and really makes them seem like a bully in the local school yard. and we know how much everyone hates Bullies. and sooner then later bullies always get the terrible whipping that's coming to them by someone else bigger and stronger then they are.

28. networkdood posted on 27 Jul 2012, 14:40 2 1

OMG!! You do not believe that SIRI is innovative? lol....

32. tedkord posted on 27 Jul 2012, 15:59

LTE is pretty awesome.

37. darkkjedii posted on 27 Jul 2012, 18:37

Samsung makes smart phones, feature phones, go phones, windows phones, android phones, etc plus they r a great company. They should sale the most. Apple makes smartphones, and the jus hit the prepay market, and that's with a smartphone too. Samsungs market share should b higher, but not due to being a better company but due to selling more of a variety of phones.

38. jroc74 posted on 27 Jul 2012, 19:21

Ppl still have to buy those variety of phones tho, regardless. They must make phones that ppl want...not saying they are a better company, but that they have a product that ppl want. Just like Apple. We can probably eliminate Win Mo and WP7 phones tho...lol. Sorry MS fans.

Most or a good chunk of the market share is probably from Android phones.

But yea....even vs other Android manufactures.....ppl complain about Motorola making too many Android phones....and dont realize Samsung has more Android phones out than Motorola. Motorola kinda stopped making low end phones while Samsung and HTC started making more. And Motorola doesnt even make WP phones.

39. darkkjedii posted on 27 Jul 2012, 19:36

I agree
