0. phoneArena posted on 19 Mar 2013, 07:38

Insiders report that Samsung reps are meeting with AT&T managers this week to showcase the dummy Galaxy Note III unit, slated to arrive later this year. These won't be working prototypes, but rather mockups hinting at the design, with no internals fleshed out yet...

5.9 is a good screen size for the note 3. Can't wait for it.

Sir, please read the post again. It has they are showing a mockup for a release later this year.

I was hesitant was 6.3 inch but 5.9inches will be amazing. If they can slap an Octa in there for the U.S. edition then I am going to be a pretty happy camper.

One word...LEGENDARY!

29. HDShatter posted on 19 Mar 2013, 13:52 1 9

Legendary? So taking a galaxy s4 and putting a 5.9" screen on it makes it amazing? The Note 2 was an oversized s3. I don't see why people praise it so highly.

31. TreyTreyTaylor posted on 19 Mar 2013, 16:19 5

It's very obvious my good sir. You've never handled one. Simple as that. If you knew how good the Note 2 in fact is, you wouldn't question how good the Note 3 will without a doubt be.

32. EclipseGSX posted on 19 Mar 2013, 16:56 4

One word, S-Pen

34. MistB posted on 19 Mar 2013, 17:47 1

You've clearly never used the note series. Once you use the Note, you'll realise just how much better it is compared to any other phone out there, the S Series included. Sorry but nothing comes close in terms of the usability. The features of the note 2 are aplenty, God only knows you'll need an entire encyclopedia for the plethora of features that will debut on the note 3. I hope we'll see true eye scrolling and head turn navigation make it on to the note 3 or it's going to have to be the S5.

35. Myrith posted on 19 Mar 2013, 17:48 1

My Note 2 has allowed me replace notebooks and reduce the endless sticky notes and loose papers that I would jot stuff down on. I can't go back to a normal phone now.

36. letgomyeggroll posted on 19 Mar 2013, 17:56 1

My wife has the Note II and I have the S3, and there are some major difference between them. The note does a lot more and better graphic. With addition to the S-Pen its unstoppable.

Even thou I have some of the future that the Note 2 have, but it run smoother on the Note 2 and also makes easier to use.

Hands down there are no other phone like the Note series, tablet with a cell radio, or what ever you want to call it. I can assure one of you with another phone can prove that their phone can do what the Note II can do or come close to it. And no don't try be a troll claiming something do you that does not exist yet.

Only Samsung has caliber to make this kind of device. FTW Samsung :)

2. wando77 posted on 19 Mar 2013, 07:42 17 3

Great if they can repeat what they've done with the s4 and give it a larger screen in the same size body as the note 2

6. Note2waitingonNote3 (banned) posted on 19 Mar 2013, 07:48 15 1

That will be extremely easy for them to do.

3. Nathan_ingx posted on 19 Mar 2013, 07:42 8 7

o_O 5.9 is just crazy!!!
Samsung is hitting the limit, compromising it with comfortability.

12. Jeradiah3 posted on 19 Mar 2013, 08:52 6 1

They realize that a phone larger than 6" can be a problem for most consumers. Im not impressed with the S4 because its not making me regret upgrading to the S3 in december. The real question is:

What will make the Note III different than the S4 and Note II?? Lets hope Samsung hasn't hit a plateau in design or features.

16. Nathan_ingx posted on 19 Mar 2013, 09:31 2

Features they shell out plenty, not sure if it's methodical...it's the design, the design...since SIII, most if not all, devices looks like SIII. SIV looks like a new and improved SIII... Hitting a similar note with iPhone.

20. iDroidWin posted on 19 Mar 2013, 11:13 4

I believe S4 is a good phone. May be you don't regret missing out on those features as you will be getting them soon on S3, which has a decent hardware. I own Note 2. And am more than just happy with it. But SS say, Note 3 will have better S-Pen integration which makes it a different device than standard phone. Also, screen size doesn't matter to me. For me, its overall device dimensions. If note 3 manages to be as ergonomic as note 2, I will say they have done a good job with design. But lately, I am growing to dislike Samsung, for its policy towards exynos chips and its attitude towards developers. If future devices comes with Exynos chip in international version, I might skip that device, no matter how good that is. I hope Motorola changes the game, because there is serious shortage of good competition. Everyone's software is seriously lagging behind Samsung's.

25. Jeradiah3 posted on 19 Mar 2013, 12:01

I agree with that. I wanted the Note II when it came out, but the price sent me to the S3 (plus the S3 was $50 at best buy lol)

The Note III should make a splash, but the lack of competition against Samsung almost makes them at the level Apple was when they introduced the iPhone and iPhone 3G............there wasnt a competitor with a phone better than theirs for a while

4. MrJerry posted on 19 Mar 2013, 07:44 1 1

It would be a little bit bigger than GN2 or almost same size

Gees 5.9" FHD Amoled!

5. Note2waitingonNote3 (banned) posted on 19 Mar 2013, 07:46 1

Sounds like Samsung will stay with this 5.9 inch display here in the states and release a 6.3 inch device in Korea. I will be purchasing the Galaxy Note 3 REGARDLESS of screen size.

7. darac posted on 19 Mar 2013, 07:54 4

HA

I was right. Again. For the n-th f**king time.
When will you start listen to me, PA?

8. darac posted on 19 Mar 2013, 07:58 2 4

I say it will come in two versions.
The 5.9'' standard one, and 6.3'' mini tablet.. the XL version

18. MistB posted on 19 Mar 2013, 10:46 1 3

Why did you get thumbed down for that, honestly it's no better than youtube here. I am sincerely hoping for a 6.3 inch Galaxy Note 3 and will be sorely disappointed if it is only 5.9 inches, hence why I hope the Korea times is trolling once again. With the extra screen space think we could have 4 multiple windows for multitasking and I can see this appearing on the Tab 3

28. MistB posted on 19 Mar 2013, 13:50

Lol, seemed my comment offended some, i'm guessing it's in relation to the 6.3 inch screen or the multitude of fanboys from different brands (inferiority complex?) thumbing people down. Honestly, some of us are just way past that, I'm glad I don't have a bias toward one brand and am fortunate to use every manufacturer's phone from different OS's.

40. darac posted on 20 Mar 2013, 01:39

This site is flooded with haters and trolls.
You can notice a thumb down sprees in almost any article about Samsung

43. McLTE posted on 20 Mar 2013, 11:21 1

I didn't thumb you down.. but I am getting concerned about the overall dimensions of the Note series.

Sure, if they can stuff a bigger screen into the same chassis size, go for it! But please, don't make it any bigger!

I'm finding myself taking it out of my pocket at times when I sit down, or have to adjust the phone. I'm not a small guy either (6'8"). I sincerely hope the Note3 will be 5.9". Any bigger overall dimensions and I may have to pass.

Wait.. who am I kidding? I'll probalby still buy the note3!! :P

This is the first phone I have truly loved.. SOOO happy with it.

44. Jeradiah3 posted on 20 Mar 2013, 11:52

Im 6'7" and i dont want the Note III to be bigger than the 5.9in that is rumored to be. I also hope that the Note III isnt going to break the bank like the Note and Note II. I'll be able to upgrade next year and hopefully the Note III will be everything I ask for in a phone. Big men need big phones lol

45. MistB posted on 20 Mar 2013, 18:42

Bloody hell we have some giants in here. Oh you can rest assure if not the Note 3 the Note 4 WILL DEFINITELY be bigger than the predecessor, I'm guessing a 6.5 inch screen. They're not going any smaller, plus the Korea times has a 50/50 track record of accuracy. Yes they did mention the fonblet at 6.3 inches and this is were the original confusion was. I do believe Darac's theory that we may actually see 2 Galaxy Notes this year, the 'entry' level 5.9 inch model (which probably isn't the Note at all) and the flagship 6.3 inch model (the Note 3/Fonblet)

9. GALAXY-STORM posted on 19 Mar 2013, 08:04 1

I think they are gonna shrink the bezels and keep the phone as same size with bigger display.

26. Myrith posted on 19 Mar 2013, 12:30

I think Wacom technology tends to require a little extra bezel for pen accuracy near the edges though? I could be wrong.

39. vincelongman posted on 20 Mar 2013, 01:24

But the Note II already has very very small bezels, it would still be slightly bigger I think.

10. Cesar posted on 19 Mar 2013, 08:06 2

the smartphone are getting bigger and bigger, 4.8" is enough with FULL HD

11. JaM1977 posted on 19 Mar 2013, 08:22 3 2

5" S4 is slightly smaller than 4.8" in S3... or actually 5" S4 is more compact than 4.7" HTC ONE or XPERIA Z...

41. vincelongman posted on 20 Mar 2013, 01:41

Why down votes for JaM1977's comment? What he said is actually true, must be some fanboys.
Here are some dimensions from this site
4.99" Samsung Galaxy S 4: 136.6 x 69.8 x 7.9 mm
4.7" HTC One: 137.4 x 68.2 x 9.3 mm (taller, fatter, less wide)
5" Sony Xperia Z: 139 x 71 x 7.9 mm (taller, wider, same thick)
But not as small as the 5" Xperia ZL which is 131.6 x 69.8 x 9.8 mm (shorter and less wide, but fatter)

14. xperiaDROID posted on 19 Mar 2013, 09:05 4 3

In my opinion, 5" is already a limit.

17. EclipseGSX posted on 19 Mar 2013, 10:29 1 1

5.5" is awesome. I would like see if 5.9" is too much

13. tigermcm posted on 19 Mar 2013, 09:04 1

I give it about 2 yrs before the standard screen size will be 6"

15. speckledapple posted on 19 Mar 2013, 09:13 2

its good they did not breach 6 inches. That is a very good size.

19. MistB posted on 19 Mar 2013, 10:49

Not really, we don't know for a fact if it really is 5.9 inches and whether it isn'y just the normal random BS from the Korea Times, think they probably got the numbers mixed up or their source is ill informed. Although Samsung are releasing a 6.3 inch foneblet, it makes more sense for that to be the Note 3's size and for the foneblet flop to be 5.9 inches. A qHD display for 6.3 inches results in a very pixelated screen.

21. Abbath posted on 19 Mar 2013, 11:16

I will want the Note 3 bad when it comes...Samsung pleeeeeease dont f***k this up!

22. TheMaxColonel posted on 19 Mar 2013, 11:51 1 1

At some point there gonna get to note XIV Where they will make it 10" Just stay with the same screen size. people are not going to buy special trousers with specially made pockets to fit this phablet.

27. Droid773 posted on 19 Mar 2013, 13:15

Good one...I have no problems with my Note ll on my working pants, as long as it fits on my pockets its welcome.
