Samsung W531 is CDMA-GSM hybrid

Samsung W531 is dual-mode phone working in CDMA and capable of roaming in GSM networks (probably only European/Asian frequencies are supported). This makes a successor of the already old Samsung A790. It is clamshell phone with internal antenna and 1.3-megapixel camera. W531 will be available in two versions:

  • BREW capable version for Verizon – Samsung SCH-W531
  • JAVA capable version for Sprint PCS – Samsung SPH-W531

The SCH-W531 has already scored the FCC approval
