Samsung S Voice ripped and available for ICS devices

S Voice has been one of the new features of the Samsung Galaxy S III that we've been on the fence about. It could very well be useful, but the problem is that the usefulness of a voice command "assistant" has yet to be proven...

Okay let's say Samsung is friendly with XDA developers. They work with each other. Like you said, Samsung Galaxy 3 isn't for sale yet, and one of its exclusive feature developed by Vlingo is already out for other phones.
For the entire community it is beneficials.
But for Samsung business who is trying to add new features to give more reasons for buyers to purchased it, isn't so good.
Atleast XDA Developers could have ripped it 2months after some sales.
The S Voice isn't a big selling feature, but imagine if it was. How would that have impacted.

Again, if it was a big selling feature, they would have ripped it out. Half of the reason that the Galaxy line is so popular is because samsung has been so good to the mod community. Word of mouth and constant high marks from Android heavy hitters (who many also write reviews) pushed Galaxy sales through the roof. Many of the writers here are not big into android mods.. at least they dont openly let on that they are. But if you go to other sites, many of the writers are big XDA/cyanogen users, and they write about it all the time. And they give samsung a lot a lot a lot of positive press for their willingness to play nice with Modders.
Back with the SGS1 samsung started actually giving XDA test firmware months before official release to beta test the ROM's, even if it had new features. The tradition continues.
Besides, with 9 million presales a month before it goes on actual sale, I think they are making all the money they care about.

I have a Galaxy SII with the latest Android version in Romania 4.0.3 and i tryed to install the SVoice apk from the source but it does not want to install it. So give some feedback from other SII's out there. Did you had the same problem?
