Samsung Replenish gets its update for Android 2.3 Gingerbread

Eco-friendly conscious individuals are probably more than satisfied with the Samsung Replenish, since it boasts a ton of green features that perfectly comply with their values, but the device is getting a makeover thanks to a new software update.

Already, we’ve seen a minor update pushed out to the handset soon after its release, which brought along mostly bug fixes. This time around, though, the latest software update brings the eco-friendly handset to Android 2.3 Gingerbread. In fact, the update is starting to roll out to handset owners as we speak via the usual over-the-air process.

Specifically, the update to Android 2.3 Gingerbread includes the following:

• Increased      Operating System (OS) speed and efficiency
• One-touch      word selection and copy/paste
• Improved      power management
• Downloads      Management
• SMS      Messaging fix

Of course, owners should be seeing that nifty notification popping up on their handsets, but if not, you can always initiate the process manually.
