Yupe with the same 1.4 GHz processor... Only this time it's on wp7 with a smaller screen... Why not go up to 1.5 GHz it sounds a little faster that way xD

lol this has nothing on the wave three designwise. :D it's still some kind of rethought version of the omnia7.

The back panel certainly looks like that of the wave 3.

Look like a mid-range phone from Samsung.

this is direct response to the nokia phones with windows. Now nokia has nothing new to offer (stylish wise) and samsung is continuing his policy of copying everything and filling every niche there is.

Looks like a good smartphone. I'm curious about WP7 mango, I'd like to test it.

It's weird that it's not for Verizon cause the omnia name was what Verizon called samsung phones with windows mobile on it kinda like the droid line.

I don't really get why those coments were moderated. Kinda but not really

They were moderated because they refer to PA's favorite poster, Peter the Bada advocate. It's OK for Peter to troll WP and speak disparagingly of the WP platform, on WP articles no less, but if Peter is mentioned AT ALL, well you get moderated :)

I thought i was the only one who noticed RTN. Authors shouldn't interact in such a way. Bad for unbiased journalism.

Hey Peterfromsweden, it's fine if you don't like Windows Phones but you don't need to respond to every article, talking about some dead OS. I don't like Apple phones, but I don't read those articles and talk about how great WP7 is. How is trolliing allowed so much on this website. Is there no moderaters around here. If you don't like a line of products, then keep your opinions to yourself.

I have the original European version and use is along side with my unlocked Galaxy S2. Omni is flawless. Those who complain about the processing power, you need to remember that WP7 has a very light footprint, and the fact that this device is running mango which takes advantage of a few OS and battery management features should make the 1.4 processor quite adequate.

I like the look. I wish they would bring it to the United States, because I swear Samsung must think that we all adore their rounded, plastc-like shells over here. I hope the Focus Flash is essentially the same shell, with the only tolerable tweak being a change to a capacitive Home button from a physical one (though I do like the physical button on the original).

I am lamenting the fact that this one does not have tri-band UMTS, which means I have no reason to buy this one unlocked from Amazon like I did its predecessor. No 3G is a deal-breaker.

Any new Mango phones coming with keyboards.. specifically to T-mo ? Shame the DVP isn't sold in the stores.. if they sold the DVP at the Tmo and ATT stores it would be a huge seller.
