We all know it's coming before Christmas, I don't know why people are thinking it is taking so long when it come out the first week of December last year. I mentioned a few months ago, my company built some chipsets for it back in early June... and about 6 months later they always release a phone. Which would put it back at the December time frame of 1yr since the last release. People are way too impatient these days.

Yeah seriously? Why are people so impatient. The phone has only been out barely over 10 months, and people were expecting a replacement already? I guess by the math that means another IPhone and Palm pre should be out by Jan 2010. Uh... I don't think so. Hopefully VZW will put 6.5 on instead. The rest of the world had the phone because it was a GSM model or CDMA Only Model. Not the GSM/CDMA hybrid I'm sure VZW is going to release.

I think the MAJOR issue is the phone was released overseas.. so it's not like we're looking at a blueprint of a picture of an idea.. so there should be no problem in being upset with the duration they are taking to get this phone on a market. Did the OMNIA original get released overseas 6 months before the US got it? I would like that info.. if that is the case then we should already know better!

Yes it did actually. The GSM Omnia came out June 8th, of 2008. So that's why myself and SprintLUVah are kinda like? Um... what's the deal. Same time frames as last year. Why would they expect any soon. People barely made a stink last year. And this year, they are actually changing the casing, adding the CDMA and GSM radios together and still it's supposed to be out during it's time frame as a year ago. I don't think that, it's that long of a wait.

i was debating between the Imagio and TP2 but the on screen kb for the imagio sucks. too small, smaller than the iphone kb and the sad part is that the iphone has a bit of a smaller screen than the Imagio.

I have not had any problems with my Imagio on video support. TV is rather large on it and so is On Demand. Not sure what video you are talking about?

Ship has sailed on this phone for me. It's almost November for crying out loud, and the phone was FCC approved initially at the end of June, just like the Tour which has been available for 3 months. I feel for Samsung here, because as more and more phones are leaked/announced/released with nothing official about the Omnia 2, it's becoming more likely that this phone will never be anything big beyond a niche customer base. Sad, really.

It can take a really long time for a phone to come out, and even though its been FCC approved that means nothing. Especially a smartphone like this, being a successor Samsung just wants to do it right. With Windows M 6.5 out now too, who knows maybe they are going to release the Omnia 2 with that OS instead of 6.1. The only 'sad' thing for Samsung here is that its 'niche customer base' can't seem to keep their pants on. Wouldn't you want them to put out something that works great and is actually worth the money? Or if you want a dumber phone i heard AT&T has one made by Apple that you might want to check out..

it not samsung its verizon. The phone has been out but verizon has to get ther claws into the software and than make sure it works. Plus i am sure they want the other phones that are out that have worse specs to have time to make some sales. I am pretty sure that most if not all those so called leaked infp from best buy is made up and i kinda think this is to. All i know is it should be released soon while everyone is all hot and bothered to get it cause thats not a bad thing people are all grumpy. Its bad if know one cares any more.

To hell with this phone. I have the first Omnia I910 and I think its a great phone and I couldn't wait till its successor. News came out in June, then they released it all over the world but here. News about it release kept coming month after month and the release date kept getting push back. Then news Verizon may have dumbed down the specs of the phone. The the facebook page isn't any help as they keep showing all world but U.S. spec version of the phone. Now its it will be out before 2010. That could be Dec 31st at 11:59:59 PM. This phone had a window from July to Oct to sell big and make a huge statement for Windows mobile and they f*ck*ed it up. If they released it every where else in July, then it should be ready to go here by now also. There are already better phone out by the time this one is out and I will be getting one of them.

What's sad is that a month or so after this phone releases, all the newer phones with the snapdragon processor will start appearing on the market. The only way to save this phone is if Verizon just doesn't get any of the new phones on its smartphone line.

The fact that a phone came out overseas first is just frustrating only thing I like about it is let them beta for us so Samsung gets them right for us. It's also frustrating that there is no proof this phone is even coming to the US no one has claimed it and anyone can stick a Verizon sticker on any phone. Boy will our faces be red when we find out that Verizon started a rumor just to keep it's customers from running to the IPHONE, with the new circle 10 with ATT this rumor is all that is keeping me interested in Verizon. - Thanks Phone Arena for all of your dirt digging I notice all other sites write their news from your site.. that makes you top dog!

Samsung has updated its teaser site for the Omnia II (i920),https://www.samsungmobileusa.c
om/Omnia2PL.aspx.The blacked out graphic of the device now includes a swash of color (at top of the device graphic), which appears to indicate that Verizon's release of Omnia II may be imminent (perhaps to coincide with Thursday's Verizon press conference,http://www.phonearena.com/html s/Verizon-to-showcase-its-Holiday-line-up-on-November-5th-article-a_7691.html).

UPDATE ... Samsung has pulled the "swash of color" from the Omnia II (i920) teaser site. Now it's back to the old solid black graphic.
