in my opinion webOS is prettiest, but Android is second best... way better than Blackberry and iOS

Nice, looking forward to see how the Nexus 10 turns out. Regarding the horizontal and vertical movement for panoramic photos, my S III has that already as default when switching to panoramic mode. Still excited to see what 4.2 brings.

I really hope that storage thing isn't true, I love the phone but only 16 GB of storage is a deal breaker for me I'm already using 20 GB of storage and thats not including my music.
Personally I need more storage.
37. Dr.Phil posted on 21 Oct 2012, 22:12 1 1
There could be an expandable storage option on it. I think by next year we will see phones come standard with 32GB worth of data with an expandable storage option on most of them.
49. Alphax posted on 23 Oct 2012, 18:47 0 0
if storage is so important to you then get a phone with microSD slot, like Samsung Galaxy S3
50. webOSlove posted on 24 Oct 2012, 01:19 0 0
Why did you choose the Galaxy S3 as an example of all phones

also if you think about subjetively theree seems to be a Nexus Mesage on that invitation, "the playgrouf is oppen" could mean a overhauled nexus program and more than One Nexus Device. But hey look at this
-LG Nexus 4
-Asus Nexus 7
-Samsing Nexus 10
-Motorola
-HTC
only two big guys are missing so far to there to be 5 Nexus
38. Dr.Phil posted on 21 Oct 2012, 22:14 1 1
Motorola might not get in on the Nexus program this year, but they are pointing towards next year for the Google influence on Motorola to be apparent in the device lineup.

the picture was a fake. that doesn't mean that a sony nexus can't happen

You could also look into the four towers that are on the invite representing 4 Nexus devices too.
22. Berzerk000 posted on 21 Oct 2012, 18:06 6 1
Or the four blue towers on the left + the 2 red bridge structures on the right = 4.2

Are u in secret service?

"The playground is open" Was already used in advertisements of the Nexus 7 (At least 2). Nothing new on that...
I hope that Google really change the Nexus program and make it more open, with more than one device launched per year. But I think that it's not so easy...
They will have to manage an increasing number of devices that should be updated with each new version of Android. For each new Nexus, they will have to allocate resources. And, technically, they will take a responsability that shouldn't be theirs (After all, it is someone else's hardware!).
Maybe, if the manufacturers really get in this Nexus fever, they can make one agreement, and pay for the google's software maintenance (Since they will have zero concerns and costs, in the software development).

100GB free from Google, thats y the new nexus doesn't have that much memory. 8-16 is not for a game players like me. just one game from EA takes like 1.3GB .
31. tedkord posted on 21 Oct 2012, 19:56 1 0
What good does 100gb in the cloud do when the carriers are limiting our data? You can't stream with the new tiered our shared plans, unless you want to pay double or more.

I wonder how long it will take 4.2 to get to the GSM Galaxy Nexus....
20. PapaSmurf posted on 21 Oct 2012, 17:51 0 0
It shouldn't take long. I would say a week and a half at max.
28. imkyle posted on 21 Oct 2012, 19:10 0 0
That would be sweet. I bought the Nexus from the Google Play Store in July and I'm not sure if the Nexus 4 will be worth the upgrade.
29. remixfa posted on 21 Oct 2012, 19:21 2 0
hardware wise its a massive upgrade in horsepower. Of course if your not using it for big games or other high intensity apps, u probably wont notice. Just a bigger camera and better screen then.

What an awesome Android Lineup to come! To me this is the best collection of Android releases ever in a 6 month period e.g. S3, Gnote2, DLX, Nexus 7, LG Optimus G, and the above named devices. So much choice and you can't really go wrong with any!

Am I the only who saw this "Competing with iOS 6, the new OS build will include an update to the panoramic camera settings which will now support both horizontal and vertical movement as the default setting." and thought of longcat?
30. remixfa posted on 21 Oct 2012, 19:22 2 0
I'd like to know how its "competing with iOS6", when iOS6 isnt even competing with android 2.3 as far as features/functionality goes.
Android 4.1+ is only competing with itself.
32. JulianGT posted on 21 Oct 2012, 20:18 0 0
Is android 4.2 comming to the transformer pad infinity?
33. imkyle posted on 21 Oct 2012, 20:52 0 0
I would imagine so. The Prime got ICS in January of 2012 after being released only in December, so maybe in January... Feb for 4.2?

Wonder if this will be the first phone to break the 1000 USD mark for the int'l unlocked version?
