Samsung Mobile partners with Carphone Warehouse to open over 60 European stores in the next three months

In an official press release, CarphoneWarehouse announced a partnership with Samsung that will see theUK-based retailer look after more than 60 European stores dedicatedexclusively to Samsung Mobile products. The new outlets will pop upover the next three months across the UK, Ireland, Germany, Spain,Portugal, Sweden, and the Netherlands. 

Carphone Warehouse itselfoperates about 2000 stores, branded Carphone Warehouse and PhoneHouse, in the aforementioned seven countries. It's likely that somesixty of them will disappear off the map for a while, and re-emergeas Samsung stores.

Samsung's European shops will have a"premium look and feel", and will offer a full range ofSamsung handsets, tablets, laptops, and wearables. The outlets willfeature Carphone Warehouse's assisted sales tool and offer a"connectivity platform" using Samsung tablets.

The two players refer to their newlystricken partnership as an "important alliance playing to bothcompanies' strengths" and envision forging a "powerful newretail concept".
